This was my first time trying this place after living out this way for over a year. I was not disappointed in the least. The pizza was A1 and the wings were even better. This will def be my go to place for a good pizza and wing night. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and superb food!

A dear friend of my wife enjoyed taking her son to karaoke every week, and the staff and patrons enjoyed hearing him sing every week. Just recently someone apparently became upset they had to wait their turn to sing after him. They complained to management who then took it upon themselves to no longer allow children to sing. This decision of course greatly upset our friend and her family. She posted on FB her frustration and disappointment, and went so far as to label the restaurant’s decision as “discrimination”, which it absolutely was. She was then contacted and berated by the owners’ family for being “butt-hurt”, and that “their tavern was not a place for little ones”. They also labeled themselves as “the most patriotic place in America”. Last time I checked, America is made of families, which includes “little ones”.

I love FRT. The bartenders are always friendly. The owner Donna is always there, cooking in the kitchen and interacting with the customers. I love the pizza and the hot wienies are yummy! they have a lot of entertainment, trivia Wednesdays, karaoke nights, and live music multiple times a week. You guys rock!

The owners have made this place, a cozy, comfortable, friendly, local environment! They do different things every week, mix of ages. But great size, great aesthetic, good vibes. When you walk in you feel welcomed & feel like part of a small family. That Flat River Tav Fam❤️Not too loud, not boring. Stopped in for a simple afternoon mojito and was immediately met with one of the most unprofessional, degrading experiences I’ve ever had at a bar. While having a private conversation, I politely stepped outside with my drink — only after the bartender herself transferred it into a plastic cup and gave me the okay to go. No rules were broken. No signs. No warning.
When I returned inside, the owner came storming out, slammed my tab down on the bar like I’d just robbed the place, and proceeded to scream at me in front of the entire crowd — calling me “ghetto,” as if that’s an appropriate word to use toward a paying customer under any circumstance. Disgusting. Degrading. Completely uncalled for.
There was no conversation. No chance to clarify. Just a full-blown public humiliation by someone clearly unfit to run a hospitality business. I’ve worked in public service. I know the difference between enforcing a policy and flat-out bullying someone. This was the latter.
If you value being treated with basic respect and dignity — skip this place entirely. Plenty of better bars out there with good drinks and even better humans behind them.

Absolutely love this tavern! Awesome food, value, and best of all family who owns it. We went our first time and tried almost everything on the menu and go back at least once a month.
Limited menu but that is a good thing in my opinion. Staff are friendly and attentive. Good atmosphere and service. Might not be everyone's favorite but if you want a spot to have a few drinks and good food close to Western Coventry this is it
