Godavari South Indian Restaurant

We recently had a lunch party at Godavari for over 50 people and the buffet selection was extensive for both veg and non-veg and the quality of the food was excellent. Our guests were very happy and we all had a great time. The service was very good as well.

There are not many Indian buffets left post-Covid. And this one is excellent (Saturdays and Sundays only). The one Sunday has wider variety than Saturday. I would highly recommend calling ahead to make sure they're doing the buffet because the first time I went, they weren't doing the buffet because of some kitchen issue and hadn't posted this on their website. But the food outweighs any issues 1,000%; the variety is the best of any Indian buffet I've been to, and I've been to many; and the quality is excellent 😋😋😋.

The food was bland and didn't taste well.

Godavari has largely spread buffet food in whole Rodhe island. They have all kinds of Non veg and Vegetarian options. Specially if any Indians wants to enjoy breakfast like Idly , dosa, poori is also available. It’s the best place to enjoy Indian food.
I would recommend them 💯 fully satisfied.

Food was delicious not everything but im sure the stuff i didn't like others thought was delicious so I will not fault for that however they leave water in a bottle thats been sitting there for however long at bare minimum they could simply offer you ice and the floors were peeling and windowsill was rotten away bench seat had rips and flies were all around minor touch up im sure some sand paper, wood filler and paint with windows fly catchers behind the decor so its not visible would do this place wonders and clearing parking lot of weeds and rolling some tar wood sincerely improve business

I think if they refurbished the restaurant and cleaned it up, they would have more patrons. I barely see anyone dining there.

The service was very slow — one person in our group received their meal long after the others had almost finished eating. Sadly, the food didn’t live up to the price, both in quality and taste.

Additionally, an 18% service charge was automatically added to our bill for a group of just five, and we were still prompted to leave a tip on top of that. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the cost.

We also ordered the Malabar paratha, but it seemed like it was made from a frozen one.

The food was so flavorful and delicious and the service was excellent! I loved the hot & sour soup, paneer, and butter chicken. Will definitely be back again soon!

Did you ever try chole bathure ?

It's frustrating how one can make and sell stuff on the name of Chole bathure.
Why is it so thick, it's not pita bread, it's bathure, please tell your chef the difference 🤥.
If a local person tries this, he will think this is how it tastes. He will never get to know the original taste

Don't think ppl will accept whatever you make, I'm never gonna recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The food is good

we are new to this place and tried ordering from doordash…we ordered rayaseema kodi vepudu…i dont usually keep reviews but i called these guys to inform that this dish is the worst thing i have tasted ever i mean it is full of bread coated and has no salt or any taste and we ordered spicy but it has some smell also mainly the texture i dint understand why it will be coated with full powder look at the texture in the pic. and it was charged 17.50$ man why we have to run like this.
we tried to call to order no one lift and also we called them to ask if it was misplaced but no one responded. I hope the owner reads this and correct. I have business too so inspite of being corrected placing this review. Also the thagubothu chicken man why u have to name it like that when u dont meet the taste, both are same taste which has no taste.

had a wonderful time at Godavari in Cumberlands. The buffet was excellent, with lots of tasty vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections. I was very happy with the food and the overall experience.

I ordered masala dosa and idli. The dosa smells overfermented. I got food poisoning. The sambar and cutneys are very bad too.I dont think they make food fresh everyday. This feels like its made in huge batches and freezed and just heated as required. I knew that their other food like biryani, punjabi and chinese is bad but how can they go so wrong with south indian food!!! The place has a musty smell. Godavari definitely needs good quality chefs and other cleaning staff.
