Just had the most delicious meal here! Best chicken tacos ever, lots of flavor, tender juicy chicken, extra spicy at my request. Husb had steak tacos, mild, and reported they were perfect. Ross suggested the Shrimp Diablo and it was amazing! Served over seasoned rice with a generous side salad. Perfect combination of spices and a generous portion of tender shrimp. Friendly service and reasonable prices. We will be definitely be back!
Tio Mateo's is a cute, vibrant little taqueria and bistro combo restaurant! We visited for Tacomania food fights and got chicken and pork tacos with crunchy lettuce and spicy salsa. The chicken wasn't dry and the pork was extremely juicy. All things considered, the tacos were above-average, but didn't blow me away. I also ordered a shrimp dish with a spicy tomato based sauce. Stopped in during a lunch rush to redeem my coupons for RI Food Fights month. The tacos were good, the staff was friendly and I enjoyed my experience. Place was quite busy and I was able to tuck away at a high top. I had one pork and one chicken taco with their hot sauce. Good flavor, I think I should've upgraded when they offered.
