Hi, my stepsister and I came here last night. We had a negative experience at closing time that I wanted to bring to managements attention/shed some light on. When it was announced the bar was closing, we ordered our uber, and then stayed slouched in the back of the bar while it was coming for us. Staff came up to us announcing “we’re closing” and we acknowledged that and told them we understood. We were sitting in the very back in two chairs facing the back wall, so we had no idea everyone else was outside already. We did not realize this until the bouncer came over and yelled at us to leave and told us we “had to go wait outside with everyone else.” We weren’t lingering to be difficult or because we thought we were special, we were just very drunk and nobody had communicated to us that they were trying to say that we had to go outside until we were being yelled at about it. I just felt it was unprofessional because while it may have seemed obvious to them that by stating “we’re closing” they were telling us to leave, its not fair to be mad at someone for not meeting a request that was not clearly communicated. “Hey ladies, please make your way outside it’s time for us to lock up, get home safe!” Or “Hey girls, sorry to say but you’ve got to head outside now, thanks for coming!” Instead the staff just kept saying “we’re closing” and getting frustrated that we didn’t realize that by that they meant they wanted us to Leave Now. This devolved into the bouncer yelling at us and then projecting onto us that we were the ones being rude because we didn’t read between the lines during our drunken stupor, or appreciate being yelled at. While I can understand being tired at the end of a long shift at work, what the staff wanted from us was not clearly communicated until the bouncer was literally yelling at us about it, which wasn’t fair. I feel that a bouncer should not only be able to aggressively kick people out, but also have the social skills to prompt people to leave with kindness and respect. “Hey ladies it’s time to make your exit, stay safe out there and have a good night!” “Goodnight girls, we need all customers to leave at this time but thank you so much for coming!”

Great drinks! My friend had the pineapple passion which the bartender made when she said she has a huge sweet tooth, and the bartender made me a cocktail when I said I like semi-sweet and bitter drinks and it was fantastic!! Apricot syrup, peach blossom vodka, and citrus. Cute place!

Traveling to East Greenwich from out of town, and staying on Main Street, I kept hearing about this bar and how great it was. My friend and I went in, and we met bartenders Connor or Colin, sorry haha, and Lauren. They were very friendly and helpful, and made some unique cocktails. We came back a second night, just so we could have them as bartenders again!
KAI Bar is awesome! For any occasion, I personally like it for some craft cocktails before dinner but it also has an awesome nightlife after dinner. Try the margaritas, and if you go Monday they have an awesome deal!

This place.. if you get there early it's hella chill. Perfect for a first date or 50'th date. I went here for a first date and for the first few hours after opening it was beyond perfect for a first date. It wasn't too loud with music, it was good music, there was security and no goons lol. Incredibly friendly staff. It was a bit pricey imo for 3 beers, 2 shots and 4 mix drinks but then again it's the sleepy joy Biden erra so there's that to account for. I absolutely will be back and I consider this a go-to spot for a casual night of a few drinks.
