Only disappointing thing. I asked for a small side salad and they would not do it. It was regular size or nothing.

The Wellness salad left a lot to be desired and the RI calamari was average. Oysters were fresh and delicious.

Generally, I've had an excellent experience at the Providence Oyster Bar. The establishment was definitely not "firing on all cylinders" yesterday evening. Over the past couple of years, I have spent in the neighborhood of ~$1.5K/annually across 6-8 visits. Obviously, if I didn't have an overall positive point of view of this place, I wouldn't be a frequent patron and customer. It started off that I had to have my cocktail returned and remade as it wasn't what I requested. Then the waiter spilled soy sauce on my sweater and trousers. Another patron saw what happened and offered-up a "Tide To Go" to help me clean the stains. As far as ambiance, one of my guests noticed the paneled wall adjacent to and butting our table was splattered with bits of food and drink stains from previous patrons. Also, some ceiling tiles are badly water stained and needs to be replaced. Looking for the "fine dining" experience to return. I'm crossing my fingers for my next visit.....

Everything was great. The food was amazing (oysters, scallops with bacon, clam chowder, swordfish, cod special). The staff are top notch-so polite, happy and helpful. We have been here before and already can't wait to go back!

Raw oysters were excellent as usual. Ordered fried oyster dinner. Oysters were very small (probably not the restaurant's fault) but they were very over-breaded and overcooked. Have had good fried oysters in the past so I know they can do better, but this time, the kitchen dropped the ball

Service was excellent! Food was delicious! They gave our party this great table where we almost felt like we were a private party. Will definitely go back.

Nice venue to dine at. Only two problems there were too many insects(flys) and the steamed lobster dishes are lacking lobsters picks to get lobster out of small parts of the shell and more butter should be with the servings. Pricewise in comparison to other high end seafood Venues their prices could use some tweaking. A 2 lb. lobster is 78.00. Nice place but pricey but almost 45.00 for a lb. Of lobster is a lot.

Kat (our waitress) was wonderful, helpful and dealt with our large gathering in a professional manner as did her busboy and busgirl. The Host even called me to tell me that one of our classmates left her Credit Card so that I could call her and have her get it. It is a shame though, that the Lobster Rolls and the Sushi was not up to par. They put something in the lobster meat or mixed with certain spices that totally overwhelms the taste of the lobster meat. Mind you, we are the classmates of the East Greenwich High School - class of '74. So we were born in raised in this small Yankee town and expect our lobster to take like lobster. Boil it, use some mayo, celery, some onion and butter and toast the buns. Your done. That was not served at Prov Oyster Bar. We should have read the menu details. But the tables, outside, the service was really the best.

As usual, this place didn't disappoint! Chrystina (our server) is amazing and the food was great as always. Love eating at PVD Oyster Bar in EG

Exceptional service by Genevieve, she is pleasant friendly and attentive. The food is always great. Had the new england clam chowder and it was so flavorful and creamy. The restaurant manager came by and made sure we were well taken care of. This made our 30th anniversary even more memorable. Thank you

Everything was pretty good. It was very busy and waiter was great. Food was ok but my filet was burnt to a crisp. I ordered it well done and said they could butterfly it so I did want it well but edges were hard as a rock and it was seriously burnt. No reason to burn it if you know how to cook well done. Other than that it was good.

In both July and August, I held special dinners for 10 at the EG Providence Oyster Bar. For both occasions, Sean, the Manager, worked with me creating the specialized menu and he had printed up specific menus with the title of the occasion on top. He was a pleasure to work with and helped to make the planning effortless. The atmosphere, food and waitstaff were perfect. I am so pleased by the top notch customer service and their assistance in making each experience a delightful occasion for our guests to enjoy. Much appreciated Sean, staff and Chefs. Kathy L.
