Island Fin Poke Company - Smithfield, RI

I typically don't leave public reviews but this experience warrants an exception - Island Fin is legit. The staff greets you as soon as you walk in, the store itself is very nice inside, but most importantly, the food is fresh and delicious, and the add-ons are countless. I usually opt for double protein at most counter service spots, but this wasn't needed when I saw how generous they were with the spicy tuna and salmon.Its not often that I can say that $15 gets you a long way nowadays, but it definitely does in this case. I know the cuisine is different, but for counter service places in the vicinity, this place blows away the competition. Cava is grossly over-hyped and Chipotle is just ok. If anyone reading this is a sushi fan, just know you can essentially make a bowl here that would be the equivalent of a $30 sushi order if you're a fan of the typical tuna/salmon rolls, edamame, seaweed salad, etc.Highly recommended if you can't tell.

We’ve ordered from here about a half dozen times and it’s normally been good. But last night the rice in both our bowls was dry, hard and even crunchy. The toppings were good but the bad rice ruined it.

First time here. Good good, and good portions. Nice combination of choices that you can add to your bowl. A very friendly lady who helped us decide what we needed in our meal. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff, food is delicious and restaurant is clean and inviting. DOLE WHIP IS THE CLINCHER FOR ME! Highly recommend giving them a try.

4 of us went here… we’ve had this type of food before… but every place is a little different. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, & patient with us.. we even joked saying that they’re going to have to repeat their description of flavor & products a few times for us. ? It was just a very relaxing environment as they helped us build our up our bowls. The food was fabulous, the choices to pick from was great, the cleanliness was was on par! We took time to eat there at the large picnic style tables… after we got lucky with a free tiny taste cup of Pineapple soft serve dessert! Thank you ? We will return

Everyone should make a stop here for lunch or dinner and dole which after. Food is always fresh and the place immaculate! Highly recommend!

The food is really good here and it’s fresh. Give it a shot. It’s much better then the places around there. I had 1 bowl it’s very filling.

The owner was working and was very helpful in telling me what was in each item and the ingredients in the different sauces. This was important as I am trying a restrictive diet.

Bomb .. fresh… delicious

This restaurant serves up Poke, which if you're unfamilar, is traditionally Hawaiian. It is best described as deconstructed sushi. Multiple protein choices, like diced raw salmon, raw ahi tuna, shrimp, chicken, and more are served over a base of lettuce or rice, with an assortment of toppings and sauces. If it sounds insane, it is...insanely delicious! Trust me, if you like sushi, you'll love poke. Our two hostesses/waitresses were wonderful. To start, we were enthusiastically welcomed and introduced to Island Fin and all of our options, which we sincerely appreciated. They are more than happy to provide you with a sample of anything, if you're unsure of the taste, etc. They do have a build your own bowl option so that you can throw in whatever you can imagine. Our bowls (build your own, with too many choices to recall) were very fresh and incredibly satisfying. They offer a range of fountain drinks, and for dessert, they have Dole Whip Ice Cream (currently featured in pineapple and mango flavors). We were fortunate to be provided a sample of Dole Whip (both flavors swirled) after our dinner, and it was so good! The restaurant is clean. There are lots of big tables to sit at. The employees are hard workers and are so sweet. We will absolutely be returning to Island Fin.
