We were there for lunch today at about 1:30. Sat in the bar section at a hightop table. After about 15 minutes I asked the host if there was a waitress to wait on us. She came over and took our drink and appetizer order. The place was not busy the service just sucked. I played KENO and one ticket wasn't filled out properly so the bartender gave it back to me without asking if I wanted to fix the ticket. Needless to say, I had to find the waitress and ask for the check. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.
We ordered a cup of red chowder but the waitress brought a bowl, one margarita and one glass of ice water w/lemon.

Haddock and Lobster Casserole was disappointing. It missed the mark; it did not have a cream-based sauce that usually makes it a casserole. It was basically a baked piece of fish with 5 small shredded pieces of lobster on top with very little crumb topping in a casserole dish. The baked potato was damp, meaning it was either steamed or microwaved. Dinner partner had Teriyaki Chicken that had cherries with stems still on them -- never ever seen that. Did they get them from the bar? The rice pilaf was very dry. The waitress was friendly and quick to take our order. We dined closer to 3pm on a Saturday so it was a quiet dining room.
Not worth the price for something that isn't a casserole.

Great place overall. The service was quick and very friendly. Good variety of american style foods. Good drink selection. The atmosphere is very appropriate for a lodge.

First time visit on Sunday. Selena was our server, and she was very pleasant, professional, and attentive, which was appreciated (seeing as we were out on the back porch and it wasn't too busy). The sesame-crusted Ahi tuna we had was cooked perfectly and the chicken salad was obviously homemade with chunks of chicken throughout. My chicken salad sandwich (1/2 with soup or salad) came with a side as well. I just kept it at 2 salads, and they had some of the biggest chunks of tomatoes I've seen. Literally, a whole tomato in each salad! We noticed several different variations of chicken entrees on the menu that all sound delicious as well. The very rustic and attractive grounds and setting topped it all off. We will come back soon with more of an appetite!

Pre covid, this place offered a wonderful salad bar with fresh hot bread. After reopening it’s just not the same. Although, most of the food is still good, just not the same atmosphere. So now I mostly order takeout and have a favorite. The steak sandwich is amazing! I will usually have onion rings or sweet potato fries as a side, for a little extra cost. Although, last time I had it, my toasted roll was somewhat burnt, it will not stop me from going again.

I’ve been here twice, and both times were a letdown. Customer service was slow—we had to wait too long just to be acknowledged, even after being seated. The food also took a while to come out, and overall, it just wasn’t worth the wait. Not a place I’d go out of my way to visit again.

This has been my husband and I’s go to place for the last few years. Over the last couple of months we have noticed a decline in portions. While we understand that prices are higher for food, you really shouldn’t bump down in quality, just raise the price if you need to. People may not noice a slight uptick in price but definitely notice the portion size. My husband always favors a whole belly clam and scallops plate and last night he was served that combo with only two whole bellies, the rest were just batter pieces and four scallops that were overcooked , it was so disappointing. My surf and turf was downsized from three baked stuffed shrimp down to two and the prime rib was much smaller. While we could have said something, it should have been noticed before it left the kitchen! We are not people to complain and the staff is always great but I guess my point is, we noticed and may think twice before returning and that saddens us.
Great place to meet friends and have a get together!!! Lots of locals go here!!!
