Sakonnet Vineyard is a gem in Little Compton. Despite the cold of early November, the vineyard was buzzing and fire pits provided warmth so patrons could enjoy the autumn foliage. Whilst I don't personally imbibe, my party was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wine. Brenden did an excellent job explaining the soil, history of local agriculture and the story behind 'Eye of the Storm' wine. I was especially appreciative to Brenden for going out of his way to provide me with an iced coffee. The staff were all welcoming and knowledgeable and I would certainly recommend Sakonnet to anyone passing through!

Take every review posted before July 2024 with the world's tiniest grain of salt as it was essentially a different establishment. New management took over in late June 2024; this has resulted in a wholesale transformation. New sommelier Matt has infused a surge of overwhelming passion and immense knowledge into Sakonnet Vineyard, and all of the employees have become infected.

My wife and I visited this evening and were blown away by the wine AND food. This amazing experience was enhanced by the amazing Cassandra! She is friendly, knowledgeable, and impossibly charming. This treasure ensured that we had the perfect wine to pair with each dish. How great is she? I described my affinity for Spanish, Italian, and Argentinian wine, and she recommended two amazing wines that conspired with my meal (also her suggestion) to create a transcendent sensory and gustatory experience. Cassandra, if you ever need a bodyguard, please let me know because I would literally take bullets for you.

The rest of the staff is also friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Brenden and Cassi also made our experience immensely enjoyable. I implore everyone to stop by and see what this local treasure has to offer.

Delicious food and wine! It is a lovely place to visit. There is a large lawn for people to sit outside but very limited indoor seating for raining days. Luckily, the umbrellas allowed us to sit outside today despite a light drizzle. I'm so glad we went as we had a great meal! The staff are extremely friendly! We brought a 1 year old and found it very child-friendly.

We love to bring our dogs to the outdoor seating area. Yesterday we got a lot of small mosquito bites on our feet during the time outside, so I hope the management can hire a natural mosquito service in the future for the summer season. I forgot to bring repellent. It is expected that this happens everywhere after rain.

Sakonnet Vineyard is back to being fantastic again! We have been going here for over 25 years and always enjoyed our tastings and having lunch outside when it offered table service. Things had changed a few years back and it was only grab and go. But I was absolutely thrilled to see they are back offering a very nice menu again! Everything was delicious! We all shared the mussels, potatoes, flatbread pizza and the short rib panini. The new chef definitely knows what he is doing and the wines also seem to be better too! Don’t hesitate to go, you will have a wonderful time!

If you haven't been, you should go! Great family owned business that loves the wine industry! It is absolutely beautiful on the property and inside their dinning room.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Sakonnet Vineyards today. The new wines were great and the staff (Cassandra) was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed trying the new menu from the kitchen. Great way to spend a summer's day.

Nice grounds. Service was unattentive which was a big turn off. Two bar tenders were on the same corner of the bar, and did not even see my wife and I waiting. A simple I'll be right with you would have been nice. We ended up only getting overpriced grab and go food. Super disappointed. Glad that this was just a random thing we did because we were close by and didn't plan a day of it.

Sounds like carolyn ruined the place. I worked here almost 15years ago and we allowed people to bring their own food. Customer service was a huge priority back then too. Way to ruin a good thing carolyn!
