Sounds like carolyn ruined the place. I worked here almost 15years ago and we allowed people to bring their own food. Customer service was a huge priority back then too. Way to ruin a good thing carolyn!

Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard is a hidden gem that transports you to the enchanting vineyards of Northern France. The atmosphere here is simply captivating, with its charming rustic charm and scenic beauty. Set against the backdrop of the stunning coast, it's a place where every moment feels like a postcard-worthy memory. The staff at Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard are not just friendly; they are also incredibly informative. Their passion for wine is evident, and they take the time to share their knowledge, making the wine-tasting experience even more enriching.Speaking of the wine, it's nothing short of robust and delightful. The vineyard produces wines of exceptional quality, and each sip is a journey through flavors and aromas that reflect the unique terroir of the region.Whether you're a wine enthusiast or simply looking for a picturesque escape, Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard is a must-visit destination. It's a place where the atmosphere, staff, and wine converge to create a memorable and enchanting experience by the coast. A stones throw away from Newport.

As others have mentioned, the main problem is related to food. Everyone knows it's best to eat when you consume alcohol. Unfortunately they don't allow outside food and boy do they ever enforce it! They roam the property on golf carts to make sure you did not bring in food. If they offered decent food options for purchase, I'd maybe understand. But they actually offer only a limited amount of pre-wrapped food items. Limited is a generous term here base on today's experience. Too bad because it is a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy some wine.

I was with a group of 8 people and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We each had the 6 wine flight selection. The selection allowed you to decide if you liked a particular wine. They had white, red and blush wines dry to sweet. A great selection. All members of our party had a great time.

Atrocious pretentious service matched by overpriced mediocre wine. Used to be outstanding now it's to be avoided. Too bad. Was a family and friend's favorite.

Came to Little Compton for a weekend and this spot helped me understand why we came. While I enjoy wine and my time here, I will leave it to those with a more fever ing pallet to provide those details. What I can say is that this is a beautiful spot, with seating both inside and out. I really appreciated that the entire wine process happens here and that all of the staff were very knowledgeable about the wines and the process. Our first visit we arrived about an hour before they closed, but had time enough to sample their flight. We returned for the afternoon of our second day and enjoyed a few bottles. Sitting with good friends in a field with wine, snacks and music on a summer day was one of those occasions we exceed our expectations and we can't want to recreate. If you are in the area, make sure to check their hours and enjoy the relaxing space.

Beautiful vineyard with lots of space and seating. Music playing outside. Loved being able to do a wine tasting and being able to sample the wines. Made sure to take a bottle of my favorite to go.

The space is lovely. Only 3 choices of red wine, the pinot is rather good. The plastic cups were a real turn off.

Good wine and service, but unaccommodating for food if you have dietary restrictions and/or allergies. They don’t allow outside food and no healthy options.

So beautiful and relaxing. My family and I loved it and will be back for sure. The wine was delicious and the experience was very fun. We highly recommend it.

A perfect stop for a relaxing glass of wine! Good views, good wine, especially the Reds. They play relaxing music in the field.

Always enjoyed this place over the years. Wanted to go today with six people but it’s Labor Day and no way to tell if it’s open. Calling, nope. Website, nope. Google maps, nope. Best I could find was a note suggesting “hours might differ” on Labor Day. Differ how? I’ll just call. Nope. Just a message with their hours - but not today’s hours! Too far to drive to find out it’s closed when we get there.
