Very noisy. More expensive that expected. Waiter very helpful and accommodating. Requested to be sat at table, but was sat at a half booth/table.

Always a great experience at Plum Point Bistro. Outside was great! Inside was very loud (as per usual). Food is always fresh and delicious. Service was great.

Arrived early for a 730 reservation and did not get seated until after 815. Checked in with the host multiple times, asked for updates and learned there was no manager on site and admittedly, no one in charge. The food was incredible and our server was wonderful. Will return hoping for a much better experience around reservation and wait time.

Food was fine.

The way management at Plum Point Bistro chose to address, or lack there of, another guest taking an inappropriate photo of the women in our party was absolutely unacceptable and tarnished the chance of first time customers returning. We were seated at an outside table by the corner of the bar and all noticed a man turn and very obviously take a photo of the women at our table, and proceed to zoom in on the photo as if to inspect each one. When we immediately notified our server of what just happened, they were quick to inform us that this was not the first time that ‘Frank’, a regular customer, had taken unsolicited photos of women at the restaurant before. We proceeded, several times, to try to have management address the issue but due to his supposed status as a regular and friend of the owners, they could only ‘talk to him in private later’. It was disgusting that this man and his wife, were able to continue dining undisturbed while our party had our dining experience ruined. The choice of management to offer us complimentary wine and dessert felt as though they were trying to keep us from making a scene instead of addressing the issue in a sincere manner. Use caution dining here especially with women and children, knowing that this will likely happen again with the lack of intervention.

We had an terrible experience. The service was neglectful. Many young men walking around the restaurant but never refilling your water or taking finished plates. Our main courses arrived while we were eating our appetizer. Then they didn't come back and remove those plates. Then we had to wait a long time for them to bring our entrees. I ordered a fish special. The waitress described the fish, its preparation and what would accompany it. The fish arrived overcooked and not as described. The skin on the fish was so overcooked it sounded hollow when tapped with my fork. I tackled it and deboned it and removed the skin. I had this huge pile of debris. No one stopped at the table. I had to asked for a plate to put what I salvaged of the fish on something so I could eat it.. No one would remove the debris so I placed it on an empty table. The fresh string beans were not cooked at all. The sauce was enriched with a thickener and was inedible. My husband ordered chicken parm with pasta. The chicken Parm was swimming in a tasteless sauce. The pasta was overcooked. No one apologized to us for the fiasco. It was expensive and a terrible experience. I would not recommend this restaurant. The past reviews are over rated and not accurate.

Plum Point has been one of my favorite spots for years. I've always enjoyed the food & atmosphere, and even featured them on my espresso martini page (@beanimartinis) because I've genuinely had such great experiences in the past. That's why this visit was so disappointing. I was dining outside with two of my best friends when we noticed a man at the bar blatantly take a photo of the three of us, zooming in on each of us. We all saw it happen and immediately told our server. A manager came out shortly after, but no real action was taken. We were eventually told they “didn't know what to do,” and were brought wine and offered dessert instead. We later found out this guest is a regular and has apparently done this before, which made it even more uncomfortable. No one asked him to leave, and we weren't offered to move tables until I personally went to the host stand and asked. To be clear—our server and the host were kind and empathetic, and I appreciated their response. But overall, the way management handled the situation just didn't feel like they prioritized our comfort or took the issue seriously. I'm sharing this not to tear down a place I've loved and supported, but because I hope future situations like this are met with more care, especially when it comes to respecting and protecting guests.

Opentable Diner

Delicious dinner as always. We had the calamari and escargot. Lobster sliders and a delicious grilled peach salad.

Many dinners here and it's always been a great experience. Tonight was above and beyond, thanks to Julia! She was so polite and extra attentive.

PPB has a lovely ambience. We received a warm welcome from both the hostess to our server, (Mandy). She was friendly, not pushy, knowledgeable and efficient. We ordered the wings (with real blue cheese) and octopus for starters which were both outstanding. The octopus was grilled yet tender and the bean purée smooth and hummus-like. The olive tapenade served alongside is quite good albeit a strong flavor. We also ordered the pork chops (huge and tasty), hamburger (very popular), fish and chips ( not overly fried cornmeal crust & fantastic crispy fries as well). The only item I felt lacking was the mafaldine pasta with cauliflower. It was kind of bland. Next time I would get the pesto which is delicious. Their selection of drinks is varied and good sized. Lastly, the decor is lovely. Definitely rings BISTRO. We will be back.

Never had a meal here that wasn't prepared well, served timely and left us satisfied. Large portions and food that is freshest you can find in South County.

Made a reservation for family in town, restaurant tried to claim I cancelled which I never did. Was looking forward to trying this place but we will go elsewhere.

Server was great but one of our pasta dishes was extremely heavy in the garlic. The noise level to pretty intense. Would return but wouldn't order the pasta dishes again.

Nancy

Great menu and delicious food. It was a very busy night with a lot of large parties so it was extremely noisy. Still highly recommend

Overall we had a great experience! Kristina did an amazing job and the food was fantastic. We sat outside. The atmosphere and ambiance was great but I do not think we would be able to sit inside if we were with another couple and wanted to have a conversation. It was just too loud! I would suggest getting rid of the tin ceiling tiles and invest in some nice looking sound proof tiles. We will be back soon!!
