What a beautiful spot in historic Wickford Village! We had the afternoon tea which comes with English Breakfast. We opted to also tried Olong and it didn't disappoint. They were fantastic! Our three course sandwiches/savouries was a perfect combination of scones, bon bons, macaroons, and cucumber sandwiches, amongst other treats! The welcoming environment was so lovely on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Had an absolutely wonderful time here! I came with a friend for afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect, the team was incredibly nice, all the food was excellent, and there were so many tea options from which to choose. I was especially impressed with the pumpkin snickerdoodle macarons, cheddar-chive scones, and tarragon chicken salad sandwiches. Highly recommend.
Visited yesterday with a friend and we had a great time! The tea and treats were delicious (especially the pumpkin spice macarons and the hibiscus blueberry lavender tea) and we loved the decor. The staff were friendly and overall it was a great experience.
My friend had been disappointed by other high tea offerings around Newport County. I took a chance on Sweet Marie’s and it was everything my friend was looking for and more. We savored each morsel of each food on the 3 tiered tray. We opted for Earl grey tea. Delicious. We asked for lemon and to my delight the seeds had been removed from the perfectly sized and cut lemons. NOW that is paying attention to detail. It was a perfect
Way to spend time together and catch up each other’s news.
Highly recommend !!!!😊yummy
We celebrated my bday today at Sweet Marie's, our first time at the new location. From start to finish it was a perfect afternoon tea experience. It’s clear how much love and care Lindsey puts into everything she does. Sweet Marie’s is a true gem in North Kingstown RI, and I can’t wait to return. Five stars, without question! 🌸☕✨
Such a fun experience with a group of girls on a bachelorette trip. The staff was kind, attentive and accommodating. Great food and drink too! Would recommend highly.
Such a charming and delicious experience from start to finish!
We had such a lovely time at tea service. The food was fantastic; every bite was delicious, and the scones were probably the best I’ve ever had. The tea was excellent too. There were 4 or 5 complimentary varieties to choose from, and we especially enjoyed the English Breakfast and Darjeeling.
We brought children with us ranging in age from 4 to 9, and they really enjoyed the experience as well. We opted not to order the children’s food offerings, and that wasn’t a problem at all. Just a heads-up: any dietary requests, including allergies or children's menus, do need to be communicated at least 24 hours in advance. Our kids happily ate the scones and treats and even tried some new foods.
The service was wonderful; everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Honestly, after reading a few negative reviews and seeing the strict-sounding policies on the website, we weren’t sure what to expect and even considered canceling. But we’re so glad we didn’t. It ended up being such a special family outing. My mom, who drinks tea regularly, commented on how good it was.
We felt no pressure to spend anything beyond the base price. We all left feeling full, happy, and grateful for the experience.
One suggestion for the business owner: the tone of the policies on the website could be softened. While the guidelines are understandable, the wording comes off a bit harsh compared to the warm and welcoming service we received in person. It was truly a lovely visit that exceeded our expectations.
I hope it becomes a success but there are significant problems. Despite charming decor, insistence on reservations to be served anything but tea and bonbons (It was 3:00 PM) is a huge mistake, We stayed but four people walked out and the place was less than half full. The wait staff might consider dressing in more feminine manner than jeans. It was not consistent with your beautiful tea shoppe decor,
They weren’t open when the website says they are, very disappointing as we could have went another day instead (we are not in the area the day they changed our booking to but the website said the date we chose). The front door was unlocked for guests to come in and the website allowed us to make a booking on any day of the week (if certain times can be blocked out, so can certain days, and adjusting the day and date after we received the initial verification is unacceptable). The website still currently says they are open for another 2 hours.
And the owner only commenting on negative reviews to tell the costumer specifically that they were wrong instead of working to fix their mistakes (i.e. website not working properly) tells exactly what it needs to about the service

UPDATE: since it's moved to the new location (across the street) I figured I update the photos! The food and tea is still great, the new location is gorgeous!
The food is great, they are all very delicious. The tea and cocktails are very nice as well. Just a little bit pricey but not bad compared to the experience! The atmosphere and rustic decorations are awesome!

I took my 8 year old daughter here for an end of school year tea. She loved it. All their food was amazing. We will be back!
Delicious and charming.
Nice service. Very thoughtful decorum. Tea was very lack luster. The quality was low and over brewed. I think the scones were far too soft. Also the deserts lacked flavour. Other than that. It's quite thoughtful in its approach.
Adorable place! Good service with a really fun time!
