The place looked really modern and fresh but I would like to point out a few things. Service was a little less than ok - my take on this is because the servers were frequently hanging out in the kitchen and talking. No one followed up on how the food was. The beer is good. I had the fig flatbread and they really need to learn how to cook it as it appeared to be just thrown together with very little thought on how to do it correctly... There was way too thick of a layer of cheese on top to it and in stead of drizzling a thick balsamic over the top of it - the flatbread was soaked in balsamic vinegar and not glaze. The owner was sitting at the bar drinking beer the entire time we were there and not really watching the staff. I had to ask sereral times for the check and a box for the flatbread to go. The flatbread went into the trash at home because that is where it belonged. I thing the place has potential but when the staff just hang around bullshitting when the place is full then something isn't right... On a scale of 1 to 10 - giving this barely a 6. I'm sure you can do much better. This was our first time trying the place and really don't know if we will go back...

3/31/24: awesome experience! The place packed and service was good, given the holiday! This is my first holiday here, though I been here a few times; all good times!#newhomeKid-friendliness: Menu and plenty of space. People are respectful.

We stopped here last night for dinner. Love the local breweries that RI is home to. The fact that they serve food is a huge plus for us, and the food was incredible! Ordered the fried pickles to munch on first. These are not your average pickles. No, these are puckle spears and were delish! If you like fish tacos, THIS is the place to come to! BLACKENED fish tacos! Not the flavorless piece of fried fish that most other places are serving. This place is clean, friendly staff and patrons, modern, and a great selection of beers on tap. Mixed drinks, trivia nights, and plenty of seating here. We will definitely be back!

The sandwiches here were really good, My wife had the Gould Island cheesesteak, and I had the French Dip. Service was pretty good as it was quick, although I asked 3 times for malt vinegar and it finally appeared when I had 3 fries left, so I used my Aus jus as a dip. We last visited here about 2 1/2 years ago and I wanted to try their beers again. Unfortunately, they have not improved and most beers were average with a just a few good ones.

Popped in on my way by. I enjoyed a cocktail while Hubs enjoyed a beer flight. We did not partake in food but enjoyed the bartender, Marc I believe's, company. They offer a few weekly specials and the regular menu items were affordable.

West Passage is the old Gillian's Ale House and will forever be known as that in my town. The food is basic, the drinks could be better. The soundproofing inside is pretty rough and it's extremely echoey and loud. Bar staff is nice and the vibe they give is great. Love the decor. Beer is basic, nothing stands out as above and beyond. Their brunch on the weekend is decent enough, prices are average but nothing was exceptional. Overall I think this place is just average. This is the perfect place to bring picky eaters and anyone that isn't a beer snob because the older, boomer townies think it's great. This review isn't meant to bash the restaurant it's just not my thing but happy they do a great business and are still open in these tough times.

Had the pastrami once and it was as superb. Had it again and it wasn't. Beer is good. I think I'll try a third pastrami and see how it goes.

Atmosphere is odd, strange placement of tables, uninteresting choice of beer. Waitresse was friendly enough, but there wasn't enough good feeling there to want to go back.

Great atmosphere. The location is beautiful. TV's to watch some sports. Great beer variety and full bar as well! Service was great. Friendly and attentive. Food was great. Nachos for an appetizer were delicious. Beer flight has a great variety to choose from. Burger and "RI red" chicken sandwich were great. Fries were hot and fresh. Overall would absolutely recommend on all fronts!
