This. Is the place. For a bagel. Boars head deli meats and cheeses, assorted cream cheese options, homemade bagels made fresh every day. They even have egg biscuits to have with a little coffee. Just met the owner Anthony and I can’t wait to come back. Phenomenal atmosphere. 10/10. Not to mention my bagel is GREAT. Cinnamon Sugar bagel w Maple Walnut cream cheese. Thank you!

Yet another place I go all the time and haven't reviewed. I am a bagel fiend. I used to have to bring bagels home from jersey to satisfy my need. Prov bagel opened and I now split my bagel needs between them and bagel express. I assume they make them themselves because they are so very fresh. And huge ! They have the usual kinds , everything , sesame , poppy , sunflower , spinach etc. The cream cheese is very flavorful and the garden veggies amazing. I'm usually there for a bagel and cream cheese but they have sandwich's that I'm sure are delicious. The parking lot is small but people aren't spending hours there so I haven't had an issue with parking. The staff are super sweet and always have a smile. They can get really busy , but they acknowledge you and let you know they will be with you. I usually make my own coffee since I'm super fussy about what goes in it , but I have had theirs a few times and they have a lot Of diff flavor options. The prices are reasonable. , I usually get a dozen bagels to go and one for there and it is about 17$. Highly recommend this shop. Support your locals and spend your money here.

When I'm in the mood for bagels, this is my go to place. Bagels are huge and generous on the toppings, covering bottom as well as the top. I give this place 4 stars and not 5, because I only get a half dozen for home. Prices are very reasonable, 7$ for a half dozen. I've never had the sandwiches or other fillings, but I see the regulars here all the time so assume everything is delicious. I based my 4 stars on the excellent service; the staff are pleasant, acknowledging that you're there when they are busy. Parking might seem tight, but I've never had a problem. There is a huge Parking lot in the back that is not visible from the street side. They also carry bread, rolls, and some pastries. They also have Taylor ham, a New Jersey thing for those of us who enjoy that on visits to Jersey.

I’ve been going to this bagel place for 22 years! I went yesterday for some bagels and pastries. Still amazing, and I now live in Connecticut. Its worth the trip.

I absolutely understand the hype of this place now. The bagels are absolutely amazing. 10/10 recommend the bagels here. The coffee isn’t the best but for a lil shop it’s not too bad. But I would go for the bagels.

New Yorkers claim you can’t get a good bagel outside of the city, but that’s nonsense. You can get a lousy bagel in NY just as easily as a great bagel in Providence and this place proves the point. The bagels are legit. I was in Providence for three days and went there every day; Every time I was in there was a contingent of crusty butts just hanging around and harassing the girls behind the counter. Anyone that knows anything knows that is a sure sign you’re about to have a good bagel. Speaking of the staff they were friendly and attentive but not in a southern pie kind of way, more like a providence “I will tolerate your existence for now, but don’t make me change my mind on that” kind of way. Again, this is how a bagel experience should be and more importantly they make a killer BEC. One son had egg sandos every day (which were on point) I got bagels and cream cheese with tomatoes and cucumbers (my go to) and my other son got a scone for some reason, but he said it was pretty good. My last day I got a bunch of bagels and a bag of the cookies with the lemon icing and HOLY COW they are amazing!! Light, crumbly, buttery, unbelievably delicious. If you’re like, “do I really need the cookies?”, just get the cookies, we only have one shot at this life, might as well make it worth while. So in short, definitely recommend bagel express in north providence. Oh and try to get there early cause they sell out of all the good bagels and only have spinach at the end of the day which no one wants.

Bagel Express makes the best bagels in Rhode Island and in my opinion it's not close. I have tried every single joint in town and nothing compares to the perfect bagels here. I go to their Broadway location at least once a week, it's my guilty pleasure. The Smith St. location is where the magic happens though.. bagel magic.

Their salads are good but I have literally never experienced horrible customer service like this anywhere else. Every time I call to order I get attitude from the person answering the phone if they even answer at all. I stopped going for like 6 months because I was tired of them never answering the phone and then decided to give it one more try and got treated like an absolute idiot for asking if they still had salads when they used to sell out of them almost every day which is why I started calling ahead in the first place. What's even worse is if you are in there on a busy day you will likely even watch them ignore the phone while it's ringing or decline the call altogether. This is honestly just sad and not worth the negative experiences.
