Wine and Cheese offers a wide variety of options and everything we tried has been delicious. The staff is friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond. Even when we're getting takeout, every item is packed with care and not spilling everywhere when you get home. They have many tasty Italian and Greek dishes but what stands out the most is their salad dressing that they also sell bottles of... yeah, it's that good. They have a spacious dining area and a separate section just for takeout which i assume they do a lot of.

Best salad in the world!! Their house dressing is amazing, and their salad is always so fresh and crisp. Great pasta as well!

I love it here! The service can be slow but the salad dressing and their sauce makes up for it. The garlic bread with peppers is also very good. Definitely check it out but just be patient.

Got ignored by staff when we walked into the restaurant. Got sat at a corner table and watched as many servers walked by us. Very loud inside the restaurant. Finally got waited on and then our food came. No one ever came back during the dinner to check on us, we had to flag down staff for a soda refill and napkins, as well as bread to go along with the salad. Again had to ask for a takeout container, didn't specifically ask for a bag and didn't get one. Food was okay, nothing fancy and not worth going back.

I don't think I should write a review comparing one place to another - but here I am. I lived in the Elmwood section of Providence my whole life, before moving to North Providence 3 years ago. Growing up we were HUGE big cheese fans. In fact my mom and like three of my aunts worked there when they were teens. When I moved to North Providence, I had already been to Wine and Cheese so it wasn't exactly new to me. But I just love having pizza and calzones and that highly addictive salad dressing that feels like the pizza parlor of my childhood. I ordered pizza for Halloween this year - and as always, it was delicious! Thick slices of pepperoni, like real pepperoni. The edges slightly curled, the crust crisp enough to hold together when you grab a slice and it doesnt fold under the weight of sauce and cheese. I DID not get a salad this time, wasn't feeling it - but normally I get a greek salad, with extra dressing so I can dip my pizza crust. Or if I get a calzione the whole thing gets dipped in salad dressing. I DID get their wings though, for the first time. Love them. They were meaty, and delicious even when I decided to start eating them hours later when they were cold. It reminded me of Ponderosa wings slightly - but with more meat on the bones. My only criticism and it didn't come into play on this order, but has before - they sell their salad dressing, but in a glass bottle like a beer or soda would be in, and a twist cap that can't be put back on. If I'm buying dressing, I don't want to have to put it in another container to be able to seal it back up. and although I love the dressing, it is too much to finish at once.

We struck it lucky as we passed through Providence on a rainy day, stopping in by Wine and Cheese for lunch. The food was out of this world! I had what has to be the best lasagna I’ve ever had in my life. The service was excellent and the price was exceptional considering the quality. A good old fashioned authentic restaurant you will find hard to beat. Highly recommend.

Just ok. Veal parm tasted like it was frozen. It was covered in too much cheese that congealed and hardened quickly despite the serving dish being hot. The pizza crust was thick and bland. Very cute inside and the server was very nice despite basically having to take care of half the restaurant! Perhaps we just went on an off day? There's just waaay too good of quality Italian restaurants around for this one to be so bad. Disappointed.

Why take reservations when they aren't even asked for at the door? I made a reservation and the hostess(?) chucked when I mentioned it. I still had to wait a long time. The food is very expensive for what it is. How do you justify charging $20 for a baked plate of ziti, feta and spinach? The veal is greasy and void of flavor. I've had better pizza at Domino's.Never again.

A lovely local restaurant! Three of us visited on a Thursday around 6pm. We were quickly seated without a reservation. We decided to order a few appetizers and sides to share - and thank goodness we did! The portions are HUGE! We would be back for another casual night out.

The Popeye Greek Salad is amazing with wheat pizza dough wrap. Fresh and grilled dough is perfection!!!

I love service - it's def my thing - and honestly our waitress was out to lunch. I felt like our table was being ignored. But then another waitress took over- which was weird. The food was ok to good. The Mozzarella bread which is usually incredible lacked a seasoning and I can say the same for the crust on the Popeye. It could be that I usual go to The Big Cheese and everything there is usually very flavorful. Not sure what the case was tonight but overall I was not super impressed. Hopefully I will give it another try but right now I'm undecided.

Probably the best salad and pita bread i have ever had. Was shocked to find out they are a sister restaurant of the Big Cheese and Campanellas.

if i could rate 0 I would. I waited 1 hour+ for my food when there was only four other tables and when i got it, it was cold. Dont go here i would rather cook myself employees were on their phone when they could have took orders and atleast cleaned the tables

Great visit & meal! The Saturday Night staff no doubt work hard and are the friendliest ladies around town!!! The kitchen did an outstanding job with the Pollo Con Farfalle my bestie and I shared. Wasaaay too much for one person but not complaining one bit! ‍ Not to mention the expresso martinis that sweetheart bartender poured us. Luv'd em.
