I lived in RI for many years and Posillipo was my favorite Italian restaurant. I eat there when I visit. Chef Luciano is, among other things, a genius with spinach.

I'm usually VERY picky when it comes to Italian food, but the dishes at a Posilippo were 100% authentic and checked all the boxes! The spaghetti with seafood were delicious, and so were the bruschette! The absolute best was the sauce for the Scaloppine, which added to the entire quality of the dish! The owner, Luigi, is also incredibly friendly and made the dining experience so much better by making us feel right at home! Will definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to everyone I know!

A delightful Valentine's dinner last night. Chef was once again a delight giving kisses and a rose too. His food is always fresh and tasty too. No place I would rather be than Posillipo. Magnifica, Bravo, Favolosa!

This is a 5 star for us all the way! You can’t get more authentic Italian food than this. It’s one of those hole in the wall places that simply blow your mind. The owner and chef stands about 4’8” and he is an absolute sweetheart. The food is cooked perfectly and tastes amazing. You must try the sizzling sirloin! Abbondanza folks! ❤️

I had a great experience at this little restaurant. The Italian food was very authentic and tasty. Prices were reasonable. This place really shined in regards to the service. The chef (owner) came to our table to see if we were enjoying the food. He also came to us before we left to thank us. You don't see that much these days.
I have drove by this spot over 1000 time didn't think twice about stopping. But yesterday a couple of ours wanted us to join them for dinner so we agreed. Limited parking and Older building not a lot of tables. Interior design out dated.. but from the time we walked in the staff makes you feel right at home.. limited drink menu with some beer and wines only.. not staffed well but the staff that was there were warm and welcoming. The process was slow but all patrons there fine with it.. wife had grilled salmon and vegs. I have filet mignon. My friends had cheese ravioli and filet mignon. And we had some apps that was Italian based and was good the salad was freshly made. The food came out and grill salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly cheese ravioli and sauce was home made. And the filet mignon was season and cooked perfectly. Chef came out and introduced himself. Chef/owner and dishwasher as he joked around. For hole in the wall Italian food was absolutely delicious. And home made tiramisu to finish the night was refreshing. The entire evening from seated to severed to getting the Bill was about 1 1/2. Prices was reasonable.

This is the best Italian restaurant In Rhode Island 💕It is like eating in the Chef…Luciano’s home- piping hot- delicious-beautiful presentation it is amazing!!! The staff is the icing on the cannoli!!! Fantastic!!!
