Wonderful place to take lessons at, staff is very friendly and professional. Environment is well maintained and most of all it was a blast rocking out here! Would definitely recommend for those wanting to step it up.

Our son started taking lessons in January 2020, in March Covid hit. Fortunately, we were able to continue with virtual lessons and have had a little piece of normalcy during a pandemic. School of Rock really rocks!! The staff is truly professional from the first step you walk through the front door and it remains all the way through management. Our music teachers Drew, Sammy and Alyssa are amazing. After only a year of strumming an electric guitar, I'm so impressed with the notes and songs that our son is able to jam to. In addition to private lessons, our son joined a band with his friends at the school. SOR provides confidence and fun, exactly what he needed. Highly recommend SOR to anyone. You won't be disappointed! =)

My daughter has been with School of Rock North Providence for two years and we absolutely love it. She has had so many opportunities to perform and her growth has been amazing. I would never have imagined her confidently stepping onto stage at 6 years old for an open mic night. Now I can't imagine trying to keep her off the stage. Instructors are amazing and the students all support each other. This program has done wonders for my daughter!

As a retired person and lifelong musician, I am now, for the first time, taking private conga drum lessons with Brent. He is very affirming, encouraging, and competent. I am also a member of a recently formed adult rock band at the School of Rock, which Brent patiently and enthusiastically coaches. Corinne and Dave manage the School of Rock in a professional manner. All the other staff I have met is very caring and capable as well. It is wonderful to see students of all ages, growing and learning as musicians while having a great time!

My daughter has been going to School of Rock for about 3 years. She absolutely LOVES it. I have seen such progress in her singing. And the confidence she has when she steps on that stage is amazing to me. I definitely credit that to how the instructors make the kids feel- always encouraging them and providing an atmosphere where they can feel comfortable. Corinne and Alyssa are awesome :)

I cannot say enough good things about School of Rock NP. My three kids have been going there for the past 2 years (current ages 5, 7 and 9). There is literally something for every age and level of play. My children have learned and continue to learn music theory while also exploring any genre that they are interested in learning.Additionally, the kids (or adults!) can try other instruments during their lessons - they are not obligated to only play the piano if they're in the mood to play the drums.Overall, would highly recommend if you're looking to learn music in a fun and dynamic way!

I’m impressed. Took my 6-year-old daughter for her first piano lesson and my 8-year-old daughter for her first guitar lesson to School of Rock today. The place seems amazing! Clean, new. Owner as well as instructors seemed very nice. Cool place!

I love this place. My daughter is 14 and she has always been shy and never sings in front of anyone. Corinne is absolutely fabulous and just knows how to relate to these kids and make them comfortable in just the 4 weeks we have been going she has challenged my daughter vocally and she has so much more confidence singing. They are absolutely fantastic. We go to the location in North providence but there are other locations. I would highly recommend this place for vocal, they also do instrument instructions as well.

The staff is both professional and knowledgeable. What's most impressive is that their sole focus is teaching--as opposed to an instrument store that rents out a closet to various subcontractors for teaching. I attended one free instructional course with Drew. Drew was knowledgeable and patient; more to the point he inspires his students with acknowledgements and complements. Despite my high regard for S. O. R., I opted not to join due to: (1) the commute from West Warwick, and (2) the comparitively high prices. There are classes nearby that will have to suffice, as I cannot justify spending more to travel further. The time and money I save can be invested in practice and learning material--i. e., integral components for learning guitar.

Took voice lessons here for almost two years. First teacher was junk, switched to a different one and she was better. Learned quite a bit from her. In Jan of 2020, my lesson was moved to a later time without being asked. I only knew because I got an email saying so and if there was a time conflict, to call. There was, so I did. When I called, I asked if my lessons would be at the new time but I was informed that my lessons were still at the old time. So I continued to come in at the old time. Until the lesson after that one, which apparently WAS at the new time and all future lessons would be at that time. When I asked my teacher what the deal was, her reply was "I don't know". The owner got involved, but he seemed more interested in being "right" than actively listening to my concerns. Went around in circles about the email reminder, but didn't seem to get that I had called and asked about my new lesson time. He admitted that my time was changed to accommodate another student. May I remind you this was done without asking before hand. I've had my lesson time changed in the past and they always called to ask if it was alright. I was always okay with it and made it work. But to just have it done without being asked before hand leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I *think* the employee that I had called and who had informed me that my lesson time had not changed was sitting at the front desk, and choose to not day word. Also, why was my time less important than the student that my lesson was moved for? I guess that student deserved that time more than me? I don't know. I wasn't given an answer.Anyway, with my time not being respected (that sounds corny but I don't know how else to explain it) and with no acknowledge of a mix up (it was made out to be MY fault even through I did call as the email asked if it was a problem) I ended up cancelling. I was offered a new time, but it seems they can and will just move your lesson time as they please, so who knows how long before that time was changed without asking too.I gave two stars instead of one because the teachers are really good with kids. I'd give one based on how this all was handled (I was given a refund for the month, but too little too late.) but I don't want to make it the teachers are bad. But just be aware that your lesson time can change without being asked if they think another student is more deserving of your time spot.Edit: Upon reflection, knocked another star off because how they choose to handle this.

My daughter has been going to SOR for over a year. What I really like is the kids get the chance to be part of an actual band! They perform different genres of music during each session. And I am always amazed at the level of talent. And what I LOVE about SOR is the camaraderie among the kids and how the teachers genuinely care about these kids. My daughter feels accepted and never before has she ever felt the connection that she feels with her teacher Alyssa and the kids in the band. The manager Corinne ensures that it's always a positive, nurturing and encouraging environment. Take your budding rock star for a free lesson- it really was no pressure to sign up.... except from my daughter who was begging me to!

Spot on experience! Was pretty good. Had flaws like every other place on this plant but was an all out pretty great experience.
