Decided to go to this place for sushi/ hibachi tonight because I was in town visiting family, and we needed a nice sit-down dinner. To begin with, I needed reservations for an empty restaurant, which just seemed absurd. Secondly, the waiter there was extremely pushy when getting our orders, which was a whole other challenge considering how they "were out of steak, chocolate milk, sprite, root beer, sparkling water, and apparently cherries (needed for a "Sherley Temple"). Third, when asked about their children's hibachi meal, the same waiter rudely assumed our child's age, thinking she was older than 12 years old. Finally, I had asked for a military discount when paying our bill and was refused, not to mention I was lied to about the waiter "asking the manager over the phone" (whom was sitting in the front of the house). The same manager was talked to, which resulted in her informing us that they were only out of steak until tomorrow. The manager did give us a 7% discount ($10 off the bill), which I found to be disrespectful considering their staff had lied to us the ENTIRE time. Please work on your customer service skills to improve future guest experiences. - Unhappy customer who would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Sushi serving was small however…it was still worth it. The sushi melted like butter in your mouth; it was so

I ordered the seafood soup. To say it lacked seafood is an understatement. According to the menu it was to have crab, shrimp, and scallops. It only had a single piece of stringy imitation langostino. This was a total ripoff of $6.95.,

It was our second time going to the hibachi part of the restaurant. Our waitress was not friendly at all, she rushed us ordering our drinks and food. The service was poor to say the least. The ambiance was dim and unfriendly. Ordered the lobster and shrimp - overcooked and not flavored. My three friends and I will not be returning.

First time for Hibachi. I had an absolute wonderful time! The chef was funny and a pleasure to watch. the food was amazing! I didn't try it but loved watching the super soaker do its thing! I will definitely go there again.

We had a party of 14 mostly nurses...the service was terrible. One of our party ordered his drink 4 times and still did not receive when it was time to leave...they didn't separate the checks and didn't know what people had ordered and when I offered to pay entire bill to speed up process the waitress looked at me and asked if entire amount was available on credit card...I have never been sooo offended in my life. I will never return and never recommend them to anyone. Worse service ever!!!!!

Very poor service, I ordered a drink, reminded the wait staff 4 times, never got my drink. My friend ordered steak and lobster hibachi, the hibachi cook said lobster and placed the pieces of shrimp on her plate, my friend said: They're shrimp, where's the lobster? The cook didn't pay any attention to her. This was a Friday night, when restaurants usually tries to make a great impression, their staff that night has no clue, they're not even trying. I've never seen anything like it in hospitality, when my friend pays the bill with her credit card, the wait staff asked her if she has enough money in her card. I can say they're more interested in insult rather than services. Maybe it is again another example of being lost in translation.

We had 7:30 hibachi reservations, we waited until 8:45 before the chef came over, despite putting in our order immediately. No one came over to communicate that there would be delay, and it wasn't until someone in our party hunted down the manager that they blamed a precious table for the delay, and were very flippant about it, telling us "it just takes a long time". It's worth noting the grill had an old food sitting on it when we sat down. The table that came in after us with reservations was told there was a delay, and ordered from the kitchen. That table complained about chewy steak, only to be argued with by the manager. When our food was finally cooked and served, the salmon was extremely fishy and inedible. The steak we received was indeed unseasoned and chewy, as was the lobster. Overall the food quality was not good, and the service was extremely bad, and there was a cleanliness issue. I would not bother coming here, zero stars.

Let me preface this with, the food is really good. But, service is kind of lacking. Every single time I have come here, I ask for a water and lemon. And every s8ngle time there is no lemon. Now, out of the seven times this has happened, I have had to ask a second time. And only once have they actually brought me a lemon for my water. Unfortunately, tonight was not that night. And if anyone thinks I should purchase another drink. I drink water. Not alcohol, not any sweet drinks. I drink water. The only reason I come here, is the food tastes good. Another thing to make note of is, that their proportions compared other hibachi restaurants around are much smaller. Between this practice and the not giving lemons and others reviews, one must wonder if they are cheep enough to reuse food? But, there is no way to actually know this. So it is speculation at best. ??‍♂️

Arrived with 7 people for daughter's birthday. They did absolutely nothing special for her. They kept questioning the meal for my other daughter and come to find out it was the waitress's error as she forgot to mark down her meal. Eventually, they brought in another meal to cook. He was already 3/4 done cooking. So he cooked the meat and veggies but never cook the rice. He just split what he already made. His demonstration was boring and he was clearly mad. Such a disappointment. Won't recommend anyone to go there.

Small portions … can choose 3 entrees for less money at other places … they barely give you food

Iwent to Yama Fuji on a Thursday night with my family, my daughter had her boy visit from North Carolina and thought it would be a nice night out having a hibachi. Out of the five of us, three of us had steak and chicken. Needless to say my daughters boyfriend noticed that the steak smelled really bad. We all took a closer smell to it and it smelled like a dead body.lam not one to complain, or to leave the restaurant without paying. I asked the receptionist to send the manager over, he came, I handed him a piece of the steak to smell, he smelled it, shook his head and said he was going into the kitchen to talk to the chef.He never came back out. The waitress just decided to hand us. A bill and a bunch of to go boxes. I told her I was not going to pay for anything. Seeing we did not eat our meal. The manager never came back to our table to apologize. We walked outside to leave and the waitress chased us outside to pay for a drink that we did not even drink, saying it would come out of her pocket. I went back in, asked for the manager to come outside so we could discuss it discreetly. He nodded his head. I waited 15 minutes. He never came out so I left. The smell from the steak was so bad that just from picking it up with your fingers my fingers smelled. Please stay away from this restaurant. There are plenty of other good hibachi restaurants in North Providence, and elsewhere. I am so disappointed.
