401 Gourmet catered my son's wedding this weekend. The food was outstanding- perfectly cooked swordfish, beautifully prepared steak au poivre (and huge) and outstanding risotto to name ONLY a few. Lobster rolls, tuna tartare hors douevre, gorgeous crudite, amazing cheesecake.... I could go on and on and on... And the best, most helpful and professional service. Way beyond my expectations!! Great job Mark, Elizabeth and everyone who worked on this event.

From the first contact at the tasting, we were blown away by the friendly attitude and professionalism of the whole team. They served our wedding at a farm venue with 180 people and everyone was blown away. You all know how important good service and food are at an event like that and you can't go wrong with Mark and his Team!

You would be a fool to go with any other catering company. Mark and Elizabeth and the whole crew are out of this world. Professional, prompt, kind, attentive, knowledgeable, need I go on? My husband and I just got married on 11/9, and have a high bar when it comes to food; his mother was a chef for 30 years. So when we say “hire them”, do it. The only thing our guests said to us all night was “the food was AMAZING”. Not anything about my dress, decor, or anything else hahah. But you know they’re that perfect when even after the wedding that’s all my guests still say to me! Mark and the crew even made sure two guests with dairy allergies had modifications. Elizabeth made sure to stay in constant communication even during the busy summer wedding months, they also were able to get furniture rentals with an outside company and included that in their price. At the end of the night, they boxed up the rest of the food for me and my husband to take home. We went buffet style, we HIGHLY recommend the short ribs with ribbon pasta in cream sauce! Mark says he braises them for about 4 hours (I believe!). If I could give them 1,000 stars I would.

Gourmet 401 served our 90 person backyard wedding and every single person raved about how good the food was! Mark truly is an exceptional chef and the quality of food is that of a five star restaurant. The staff were friendly, kind, and professional serving our plated meal and passed appetizers with ease. Our menu consisted of steak, chicken, and vegan meals — we chose do to additional late night snacks and they even served mini vegan sliders for our meatless guests! We cannot recommend 401 Gourmet enough! Such an incredible experience, you will be so glad you chose them and so will your guests!!

I was hard pressed on having a wedding with food people would actually like. Not a little filet, with a squirt of mash potatoes. Mark made my dream happen. With lots of out of towners I really wanted Rhode Island staples. We had stuffies, lobster rolls and clam cakes. My new husband is a bit pickier, so we also had some delicious sliders for the less adventurous folks.
Mark is a small/medium sized business owner that has less admin to help him communicate. Despite this, he works so hard to still make sure he's being as responsive as possible. I was so incredibly happy with our choice to go with him instead of one of the "big guys".
He hustles, he listened to all of my needs, and he made my dream wedding food happen. I could not be more grateful for him and his team. Truly an incredible business owner THANK YOU MARK!!!

I can't thank Mark and his crew enough. The apps and foods were absolutely amazing. He made wedding planning very easy. He took care of all the details at our wedding from the food to tables and chair rentals. 10/10 recommend.
