Wow! Delicious, so many different things. I had grilled polenta with Italian sausage, pepper and onions, eggs on top, OMG, and a cranberry pecan pancake with homemade orange infused maple syrup OMG. Frank had steak n eggs, creamy grits and baked beans. I highly recommend this establishment. They are busy but we didn't wait long at all. Friendly & efficient staff.

We moved to Pawtucket one year ago. We have found our home diner here at the Modern Diner! Food is consistently delicious. So is the service! Good food, h comfortable setting and friendly people all around!

Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with small kids and they are very comfortable with children here.

Recommended dishes: Linguica Hash, Lobster Mozambique Grits, Hash Benedict

Food and Service was fantastic at this "Modern" Diner, opened in 1934 and listed on The Registry of Historic Places, decor is very charming, there menu is mostly focused on breakfast items, but Lunch items are available M-F, I got a Cheeseburger with Mushrooms, comes with fries, the burger was well prepared, and very juicy, I would recommend.

I've been going for years and never had an unsatisfying meal. I love that I can get something that suits my cravings like; over easy eggs, toast & bacon. Today's choice was lobster Mozambique grits & a linguisa hash omelet with grilled English muffin. Can't forget the Bloody Mary's that have just the right amount of horseradish, which is a tough task.

Wanted a good breakfast. Something other than cereal or Dunkins. Great service and great staff. Their eggs benedict is the best I’ve had.

Maybe best diner food I’ve had in a while. Such a cool unique place - the Italian eggs in bread with red and orange peppers were so good!
