The end of an Era! And what a terrible way to end. The kitchen should be embarrassed to put out “food” like what I got tonight!!
A little background. We’ve been going to the Newport Ave. Piezoni’s virtually every Friday for over 5 years now. I can easily say we’ve gotten about 200 pizzas from them. We used them for our son’s birthday parties & special events. The manager, Angie, who was there a few years back really seemed to run a tight ship and it showed in the quality of the pizzas (the food in general). And to top it off, they always had a few coupons that were good for either 15% off your order or a large pizza with up to 2 toppings…score.
Well in the last year or two, things have taken a dive. The food quality varied depending on the day, but it was edible, and the coupon still put it ahead of the other pizza places in the area. And although Angie was gone, the people who managed since had been pretty good. And as a regular, I still enjoy the personal greeting I would get. It kept me going back.
But now, it continues to get worse. The food quality is getting worse and worse, and even the reliable 15% off coupon that they had for years is gone. So tonight, and for the last few months, I’ve been paying about $20 for sub-par pizza. Tonight, however was the last straw. The pizza was a barely edible soggy crusted mush of some sauce and cheese. The pizza was awful!!! The box was soaked because of the excessive grease. I’m sorry to say that they’ve lost an overly-loyal customer because of the absolute garbage quality that they are giving out. I’m sickened by it! (See pics)
It won’t affect me anymore but I really hope the owner hires someone who can turn that kitchen around and sell something that doesn’t resemble garbage. Or at least make & properly cook a pizza. What a shame.

Ordered ahead for a meeting lunch and spoke to Destiny who provided the best service! I had to call back and add to the order a few times and she was amazing! Ordered calzones and salad which were awesome

Some of the best pizzas and sandwiches, but they are small for the price like i got a steak and cheese for 12 bucks thinking it would be a foot long ya know... Nope thing was like a 6incher. Don't get me wrong it was delicious but expensive. Pizza is great and reasonably priced. All around good place for food

I’ve encountered the most racist situation you can imagine at this location. I was next in line to check out, had a Caucasian man standing behind me. I was completely ignored by the employee as he calls the man behind “SIR I CAN HELP YOU”. As I tried to let him know I was there first , he replied “ I DIDN’T SEE YOU. As a 6’3 and not small at all and standing right in front of the counter, how can it be possible not to see me? Well I guess I’m too dark to seen, not surprised at all. Please stay away from this location.

Honestly don't Even go anywhere else for fresh pizza or fresh anything! Place is always immaculate, service is amazing, the pizza is out of this world delicious. Got a salad the other day and I could tell it was made with all fresh ingredients. Mozzarella sticks I can tell they snuck a few extra ones in there which was unbelievable. Jose is a good guy and he's got the best people working with him. This was the first place we went to when we moved to our new location here in East Providence. It is our go-to spot and consistently delivers fantastic food at reasonable prices. If you're not going here you're missing out on something
