Alaina’s Ale House in Richmond, RI, delivers a reliably pleasant pub experience, with especially memorable service and a welcome escape from the summer heat.
The menu covers the usual pub classics—burgers, wings, sandwiches, and a handful of seasonal specials—and everything we tried hit the mark. While the food was more than adequate (no culinary fireworks, but perfectly serviceable and well-prepared. The Scotch Egg was a standout, the best I’ve ever had), it’s not what you’ll remember most.
Service here is truly exceptional. Our waitress went above and beyond, even gifting my sister a commemorative mug simply because her name is Alaina. It was a small gesture, but one that speaks volumes about the team’s attention to detail and genuine warmth.
And on an unbearably hot day, the ale house’s A/C was a lifesaver—crisp, cool air made for a comfortable meal from start to finish. All told, Alaina’s Ale House strikes a great balance of solid pub fare, standout hospitality, and a pleasant atmosphere—definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Came here due to the high reviews but the food disappointed. I had a steak and cheese and it was probably the most bland I have ever eaten. Wouldn't recommend that dish.

Just had a graduation party here for our daughter. Ryan was great, open communication and very accommodating. The food was great! We had our party outside in the tent, our waitresses, Maddy and Haley were fantastic! Very attentive to all our guests, extremely professional. We would have another party there any time! Thank you Alaina’s staff for a making it even more special 👍

It was an unassuming golf course bar with a small seating area. Food and service was very good, the atmosphere was typical golf club decor.
Had my grandson's graduation dinner here and it literally was my entire family together everything was great! ?❤️

What can I say... a job well done. Your staff my god. They are amazing. Above and beyond. The cook was awesome sweating flipping burgers the guy was a champ. MVP. My daughter had the most amazing time. Her friends loved it. Our family loved it. 10/10. I've worked in the restaurant biz for geez I don't want to age myself but we will say over 20 years... and I was really taken by your staff. They have alot of heart and dedication to your establishment and you should be really proud and honored to have such hard working staff. They really made us feel special important and catered. Thank you and you're staff. I have me an over the moon 16 year old girl. I also had a professional photographer I will send some of the photos for advertising you can and have permission to use if you want to.
