I stopped in for a quick tea and bagel. The service was great. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The bagel was almost as good a NYC bagel but hey I’m biased.

Fablous coffee, food, and staff! And really relaxing space. I wish more people would stop there, I think a bigger sign would help.

Odd amount of passive aggressive rudeness. When me and my 80year old mother came in with her service dog the person working said you can’t come in with the dog. We said it was a service dog and we could show the ID. They said the dog has to have a vest on. We kindly explained it was 95 degrees outside and she had a medallion around her neck instead. Then the person said “This is a lot of contention for getting a couple coffees” We then left this “community” coffee house.
The best iced green tea around. Great atmosphere!

I got the Snickers Latte and my husband got a black coffee made with their house roast. Just unbelievably good. Why anyone would go to a chain when you can have coffee like this is beyond me

Service was fine, not bad. We were probably both a little sleepy. I hadn’t had any coffee yet. Atmosphere was cute. I love that they had matcha and gluten free options for my daughter, who wasn’t with me but I’m always looking for yummy places to bring her.
The EMT is just that, loaded with cream cheese, bacon, and tomato. Exactly that and that’s ok. It’s got a ton of great reviews but in my opinion it could use less cream cheese and add an egg. I don’t give negative reviews because I don’t like the way something tastes since everyone has their own opinions on that.
However, when I received the Loaded Avocado Toast which description includes and an egg and I just got a few egg crumbles that’s just not right. The name and description suggest there will be at least a full egg. It was loaded with chunks of onion. That’s about it. There was more onion than egg. The avocado spread was a sliver of on each side. I should have taken a picture but I was hungry, so I came home, took off the onions, added some hot sauce.
I will give it another try. Obviously I ordered the wrong things for my taste-buds. I will build my sandwich next time. I wish they had sugar in the raw as a sweetener. I will bring my to review the gluten free bread and matcha. The sweets looked good, but I was just trying to get my protein in and that didn’t happen.
The service and atmosphere is top tier. The workers truly take care of their customers. Sarah took my order and she was super polite. I didn’t know what to get to she suggested something and it was TO DIE FOR. I was in love. Literally the perfect quick breakfast/lunch spot.

What a great place! Food is great. Staff is exemplary. Chai is the best I have ever had!
Small cute coffee shop , coffee and bagel 🥯 Taste good fresh , service was great and friendly.
Solid, if basic, cafe with wonderful staff.
My wife loves the EMT sandwiches, Lately I have been fond of the cappuccinos and the cold brew. They have some seasonal items and baked goods. The food is good, it won't change your life, but it tastes good and has been consistent. I would like to see some more unique food offerings, maybe more more veggie options.
The service and vibe here is where Higher Grounds shines. The staff is very friendly and the owners/managers are engaging and pleasant. I started coming here cause it was the only indie coffee shop in town, but I continue to come here cause the vibes are great and the staff is awesome.
Vegetarian options: They serve vegetarian pastries, bagels/breads, eggs, veggies and a hummus wrap. Limited vegetarian protein options.
Parking: The parking lot is shared with the ice cream parlor next door, but there are plenty of spaces for both businesses. There are always spaces available even during busy times.

I come here every time I’m in the area and they never disappoint. All the employees are kind and welcoming and each time I have a question, they are ready to answer or make a suggestion. Their Lil Rhody Latte is head and shoulders above any other coffee I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot of coffee. So glad this place exists!
