We thought this place served pizza. Big bar with seating around bar area. One bathroom in the whole place!!!!! My husband got a beer and I told the waitress that I thought this place served pizza and she said no. So we left. As we were driving away, the place right next door was a pizza place! The waitress could have told us that!!! There were no cars there, so we didn't stop.

Get there early. The place is small, but the food and service is very good. Best steak sandwich you will find, if you stop in for lunch.

OMG. This must be the most friendly and happy tavern in the USA. What a great place. Bar tender is great. Every single patron here is so nice. The food is great too! Hats off to the chef. I’m traveling from out of town but definitely recommend!!!!!

Everything that we ordered here was excellent. We tried their grilled cheese sandwich, the reuben, the chicken flatbread and their chowder. The flavors of each were unique from other establishments and we were very happy with the meal. My kids had the apple crumble cheesecake for dessert. It was a small portion, but delicious. Service was slightly slow, but very friendly. Highly recommend.

Visiting The Village Tavern in Scituate, RI, was a great experience. Parking was hassle-free. The bartender welcomed us and told us to choose our own seats.
The bartender was impressively multitasking, handling multiple roles—bartender, host, waitress, and busboy—yet maintaining great service throughout. She managed to serve drinks, take orders, and deliver food with a friendly demeanor.
The ambiance of The Village Tavern is charming, reminiscent of a rustic lodge. As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful.
This little joint stands out, offering a great dining experience in a relaxed and casual setting. I highly recommend visiting The Village Tavern.
