Went to Black Goose Cafe today on the recommendation of someone in a sangwich group. I got the Parisian: grilled chicken breast, caramelized onions, herb cheese spread, provolone, and baby spinach. This normally comes on country white bread but I substituted multigrain for no extra charge. It was $9.95 before tax. I rate this 8.3/10. I rate my sangwiches from a rubric of three standards: taste, eatability and texture. Taste 8/10. Overall a delicious sandwich. Good balance in toppings, the herb spread was tasty. Me personally, I needed something tangy/acidic to cut thru the richness of this beauty (do you see the cheese pull in the photo??). That and a little heat, so maybe a house hot sauce I could buy on the side would do the trick. Eatability 8/10. A little herb spread dripped out, but had no issues keeping clean while eating with the paper in my lap. However, I took out most of the spinach in one bite on one of the halves. Texture: 9/10. Not all their sandwiches are paninis but I highly recommend you get one. The crunch on this was incredible and it helped balance the creaminess of the insides. The multigrain is extra good this way, the press toasts the seeds on top Other things to note: decent menu with mix of cold and hot sandwiches, wraps, salads and Buddah bowls. This Cafe offers a variety of espresso drinks AND BOBA (which I was thrilled to find!) Customer service was a little cold at first, they didn't greet me when I arrived and kind of ignored me until they served me. But once they said hi, they were very sweet and gave good service. GORGEOUS view of the water and they have a patio on the side to enjoy both your order and the view. Parking was easy enough out front but could be tricky if they're terribly busy. I believe on the street parking is also available. I'm definitely coming back, this is right down the road from work

The good: chocolate cake & French toast soufflé were delicious. The ok: the coffee was good. We've had better, we've had worse The bad: it was not clean. The floor was a mess, the table wasn't cleaned.

Have been coming here for over 10 years & make it a point to stop in whenever I am back in the area. Stopped in after the breakfast rush & although there might be a wait for seating it is well worth it for a sit down meal. I had one of my favorite desserts from here with their great vanilla chai. A large is very generous with enough left over to take back on the road with you. Staff is always wonderful!Parking: Limited amt of parking depending the time of day but many folks are just picking up pre ordered drinks & meals. Be aware that it can be a very busy road!

From the long line extending out the door, Black Goose is clearly a town favorite. For eat-in, customers order at the counter, then seat themselves and wait for their meals. The menu is extensive and desserts, plenty. We arrived around noon, and breakfast was no longer being served. However, we could get breakfast paninis. The paninis were beautiful. However, we both thought they were bland. I ordered a vanilla Chai. I loved that it wasn't super sweet, but that may have had something to do with the big clump of dry mix caked at the bottom of my drink. I did like the smoores looking chocolate cake. It was pretty sweet but hey, it's a dessert. The restaurant is small however the beautiful view of the lake across the street is big; you can experience it from all sides. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean and despite the small size and sometimes cramped feeling I didn't feel rushed to make room for the next customer. Takeout is offered. I did notice if outdoor seating was available. Parking is very limited. On a Sunday the rush appears to die down after 1 p.m. Overall a good experience. I would eat there again but try to get there early for breakfast.

Food is Panera quality- a littler better, more expensive- my salad today was soggy. BUT coffee and teas are amazing. Beautiful spot to sit outside or indoors...

I’ve loved coming here for years, but the service has dramatically declined in the past year or so. Consistently getting orders wrong and customer service has become pretty sub par by the young adults working here.

An adorable cafe with Delicious bakery selections and wide variety of breakfast and lunch choices. I've been here for lunch and breakfast and both times got a specialty coffee and treat to go and they did not disappoint! I can't wait to enjoy the patio in the summer time and sip coffee while watching the water.

Great little cafe with quite a few grub options from something sweet to sandwiches. We had hot chocolate that was delicious on our way back from Fort Barton. The patio would be awesome for enjoying the view in the spring/summer.

Went here once during covid and I don't remember what sandwich I got but it was delicious. After a bout with the flu this week I was really craving a good sandwich so decided to try it again. Good location, nice view and close to home. Ordered the Weetamoo and was sooooo disappointed :-(. First, when I opened the box, everything had slid into a corner in a heap, was the most un-appetizing thing I have seen in a bit. Tons of cranberry sauce, tons of mayo, tons of cheese, but no chicken, or very little to say the least, I couldn't see it thru all the mayo. And it was on a small piece of toasted panini bread. Absolutely horrible. Probably be another 3 years before I try it again.

I’ve been here several times and it’s usually very good. Today they made me a ramen that was only broth and noodles because they were out of vegetables. It was apparently “all they could do” instead of comping me or something else. Mid food and service todayyyy…
