Thank you so much for having such delicious coffee! We stayed down the street during our wedding weekend and my husband went every day for me to get a latte. On our last day you sent him back with the most delicious croissant on the house. Thank you so much!
Excellent Atmosphere. Unfortunately, the cappuccino and latte was cold and the bakery items were not very flavorful. Blueberry muffin cold, the chocolate croissant was pretty good scone tasted very doughy.

Can't bring laptop or tablet here! The place is meant to be enjoyed without being connected to internet.
Food is incredible but pricy. $10 for a croissant and $6 for cappuccino.
Other than that, the place is gorgeous and l absolutely love the decor.

Beautiful cafe, but pretentious. Ordered a $10 SMALL latte only to find out I couldn’t open my laptop to get some work done and enjoy my coffee.
Google says people usually spend an hour at Groundswell but all the parking signs show 30min parking.
I’ll enjoy better tasting coffee elsewhere.
Ridiculously expensive for the size of the portions had to go get a second meal elsewhere afterwards

We really love the atmosphere at Groundswell. We particularly like the ability to sit outside. The food is always fresh and outstanding. One gripe is that the coffee drinks are stupid expensive. I ended up paying almost $9 for a Chai Latte bc I had it made with almond milk.

Quaint cafe for coffee & pastry , plus other food options. Nice staff , plus cute little out buildings for shopping pleasure , sit outside with table fire.

Will never go back to this place again. It doesn’t even matter if the product is good. My family and I came to visit and grabbed ice cream across the street and we were kicked out because my kids could not have ice cream while standing inside waiting for us to order our coffee. So my kids waited outside and the manager followed them outside and told them that they were not allowed outside as well. It’s snotty places like this that don’t deserve good reviews no matter how good their product is.

We stopped in for coffee after grabbing ice cream for the kids at Greys Ice Cream. The kids were out of the way but told no outside food was allowed inside so we had the kids wait outside. The manager went up to the kids again and told them no outside food, even outside, while the parents, paying customers, were inside placing their order. Poor management, in my opinion, to refuse kids to wait outside while family places order. Won’t be going back.

Lovely place. Super and rather large staff. I will return. However, the baked goods are a mixed bag. The croque monsieur was wonderful. The Texas sized “croissant” style bread was great. There was a big drop off after that. The ham and cheese croissant was hard and dry and the $8.00 baguette was inedible and thrown away when we got home. We spent over $70 for a light lunch and a few items to take home. Pricey to be sure.

Ended up in Tiverton because of the RI monthly magazine. This is the first thing we saw. The decorations for this cafe are so beautiful. There was a lot to look at leading up to the counter.
The menu and display for the pastries made everything look delicious. The font made ordering comical because I had to double check what I was trying to order.
Had the apple and cheese Danish and some sort of chocolate hazelnut croissant. That croissant was completely worth the detour into the road and 1.5 hour drive it took to get here. I might still be dreaming about it.

Go for: Beautiful design cafe and shopping complex in rural, coastal Rhode Island.
Avoid if: You aren't prepared to drop $20 per person for coffee and pastries (and watch your wallets at the neighboring shops).
Something surprising: Aside from the three side-by-side shops in Tiverton, they're opening a full-service restaurant in Bristol.
Reservation needed? No, counter service only.
Overall . While the prices were high, the atmosphere was very nicely curated and it was relaxing overall. The food was absolutely delicious and everybody at the table had nothing but good things to say about each dish. If you're swinging through the area and hungry, it's worth a stop for breakfast and lunch.
