What fun! A small, informal restaurant with authentic French food, thanks to the French chef. The specials — like rack of lamb or monkfish — are especially good. It’s BYOB, so you can bring and enjoy a bottle of fine wine without having to pay a huge mark-up. If you forget to bring wine, you can pop over to the wine store just two doors down, on the other side of the ice cream shop. But you won’t have room for ice cream after a delicious dinner at Plouf Plouf.

This place is just absolutely amazing. The mussel soup was exceptional, veal and salmon ( over ratatouille) cooked to perfection. Can't wait until our next visit.

PERFECTION! NOTHING, and I mean nothing this good for miles and miles. This little GEM of a French bistro is outstanding!! It's a French countryside BYOB escape that is nothing short of a delightfully joy filled experience not only of taste, but of zen. The generously portioned food is authentic of course with the modest, renowned Chef Mario Molliere at the helm and his lovely wife, Anik Palulian Molliere in charge of all else; while Mario built the kitchen from scratch, aside from the bistro tables, Anik built just about everything else you see inside and out of this unique spot, the herb garden planter box partitions and the velvet pillowed banquet, and of course the rest of the clean decor and creative details all of which make it equally as inviting as the cuisine. There is much more than what meets the eye for this truly dynamic duo who have talents which far surpass fine dining, restaurant ownership and management, and catering. If the Coq Au Vin special is an option, do not hesitate, amazing and you'll likely take some home with you. Merci and BRAVO! ?

Somebody stole our credit card that dinner night and charged many things with the info on our card. I am furious.

Absolutely delicious! I couldn’t believe this amazing restaurant doesn’t have more buzz around it! I ordered steak frites with truffle fries and it was superb! The steak was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth.

Honestly, the most dreadful experience. Tiny restaurant with very few tables, we waited over a hour for our meals. The staff are very rude, while waiting such a long time for our meal, I tried to go to use the restroom- the waitress informed me I could not use it as it was only for customers( despite having seen me sitting there for over an hour and a half). The food was bad, and so very, very expensive. the steaks are a very low quality of meat. The chairs and tables are very uncomfortable. Cannot recommend.

I was only gonna leave 4 stars until, I seen a review some snowflake posted about Foie Gras. I had a great experience at Plouf Plouf, My Significant other and I ordered the escargot which was on point, the chefs pate was amazing. I had the rack of lamb which was superb and the girl had the steak frites, it was done the right way using hanger steak. For dessert we did creme Brulee and some cake with raspberry sauce with a scoop of caramel chocolate chip gelato. Will be back to try the rest of the menu. This place is BYOB, if you're planning on bringing in higher end wines. Bring you're own wine opener and open yourself.

While visiting the Little Compton area for 5 days, this was our best dinner. Outside dining and service was exceptional, our 3 dinners, tuna, mussels and bone in chicken were done perfectly. Just a nice vibe for the evening.

We ordered the coquilles st jacque thinking it was an entree with sides. What we got is 4 small scallops that looked like 2 cut in half horizontally and sauce for $27 each! Nothing with it! We spent $58 on an appetizer! When you see the other entrees on the menu they come with sides. When my husband picked it up it weighed almost nothing so he looked in the bag and found containers that could hold burgers. He asked about it and they said that is it. He asked for some bread at the least and they charged him for it. The scallops arent even that great. I have had better. I just wish I could include a photo.

Charming outdoor bistro. Reminded me of Paris bistro cooking. We had the pate de campagne, onion soup, canard de confit, coquille st jacques, and creme brulee. Everything was very good. The onion soup was lighter than some, in that it did not use a beef based broth, though the spicing was perfect. The canard was crispy with green peppercorn sauce over frites. Yum. The creme brulee was close with the cold/warm contrast of the carmelized top vs. the custard, but the custard was a bit overdone. Still, it was delicious. Very surprising. BYOB.

As a French person, I was delighted to find a restaurant that had canard confit and magret on the menu. The first time we ordered from Plouf Plouf at the beginning of the season, we were very happy: The confit and magret came on a bed of a delicious puree with a side of ratatouille and the portions were generous. Yesterday we ordered the magret again, and were sorely disappointed. We didn't have the whole magret, just 6 tiny slices of it, half of which was the fat, and there was no puree, no ratatouille, just the potatoes. The sauce was as good as ever, but the portion was very meager and the magret not of good quality. It wasn't worth the $30+ that I paid for it. That's my last time ordering from Plouf Plouf.

I ate dinner, and was ill within hours, and I'll all night. Raw duck, and when I asked for a tiny tweak to cook it just a bit more, it came back overdone and tough as shoe leather. I won't be back. The 3 scallops were good...for $10 apiece.

Different type of experience. Quaint little spot, food was delicious but took a long time. Our waitress was attentive and on point.
