We had the best calamari we have ever eaten . The power went out while we were there and the staff was amazing. The carried on without skipping a beat.

Was a little more casual than we thought. Also, we were not allowed to sit out on the patio after 8:30 pm which I thought was just a little strange. The fried oysters were great. The mixed green salad was very bland. Not very vegetarian-friendly, and the menu was limited. Great wine choices.

We've loved the Red Dory for years but the last 2 visits have been lackluster. For the first time ever nothing grabbed me on the menu (no menus - just phone or tablet!! - hate that). Luckily it was just us - no friends or family - so a salad was enough for me. The space is loud - especially when another table gets going. The back room area (where we tucked into last time) was even louder. Now that the weather's better we'll sit outside and hope it doesn't rain. There needs to be a simple “back up” entree - chicken/pesto/pasta like dish ?? that can work for everyone. Something to fall back on in a pinch. Good service so that's always a plus.

Right next to the beach, the red Dory features fresh seafood, and standard American steakhouse fare. I had the swordfish which was $32 and a glass of wine, which was $14. With tip, the check came out to $57. I didn’t plan on spending this much this evening, but given the quality of the food, I’m not too disappointed. Without alcohol, you can easily spend under $30 for a good meal. Seems like a good place for a date night with lots of booths facing the ocean.

The revised Swordfish on the menu with mushrooms was absolutely delicious. It was cooked to perfection and so tender. It almost melted in your mouth. It was the best we've had anywhere. Will definitely order it again.

My friend and I sat outside on the deck, where we enjoyed cocktails, a delicious dinner, and a wonderful sunset. It couldn't have been better.

We dine often at the Dory. The atmosphere is very nice and people are having a good time and there is a good variety of people. The hosts are great and Jared is an amazing person. He and Aaron are a great team. We used to think the menu needed more variety (largely because we dined there often) and recently there are lots of dishes being added and rotated which has been great! The waitstaff are across the board nice, interesting people who do a great job. There is an exquisite casualness to the experience but don't be fooled they're a very well run restaurant. Highly recommend!

The food was excellent. However, our waitress was not attentive even though the restaurant was slow. I had to approach another server for the check because we felt forgotten about. We were interested in desert but decided against it because of the service.
