We learned of Mews as both our kids went to URI. Our kids love the casual atmosphere and love the food. I’m here to give high praises to our waiter Peter. Having many dietary restrictions, he was so patient, and did everything he could to find an entree for me. I ended up with just basic salmon and brocolli - they tried, didn’t charge us for the full entree, I really truly appreciate that. Most eateries do not. My husband loved his Philly steak sandwich and great selection of beer! 1 out of 10 people can not digest alliums and dairy. Hint: Cabot Cheddar is lactose free, mayonnaise is not dairy : ).

Fun tavern downstairs with awesome beer selection and nachos were delish as always
I sat there waiting for 25 minutes or more for nachos and chicken tenders and then when I asked for a manager, the bartender female brunette told me yeah hold on and had me wait 7 to 10 more minutes and then I finally left without speaking to a manager.

Mews Tavern is always a great time. I used to trivia here when I lived in RI but now I visit mews anytime I come back. The food is always exceptional, the staff are always polite and the atmosphere is always nice. I only good things to say about Mews and would definitely suggest anyone visiting South Kingston or Gansett to stop by.
