We learned of Mews as both our kids went to URI. Our kids love the casual atmosphere and love the food. I’m here to give high praises to our waiter Peter. Having many dietary restrictions, he was so patient, and did everything he could to find an entree for me. I ended up with just basic salmon and brocolli - they tried, didn’t charge us for the full entree, I really truly appreciate that. Most eateries do not. Mews Tavern is always a great time. I used to trivia here when I lived in RI but now I visit mews anytime I come back. The food is always exceptional, the staff are always polite and the atmosphere is always nice. I only good things to say about Mews and would definitely suggest anyone visiting South Kingston or Gansett to stop by.
Stop #1 on RI FOOD FIGHTS 12th Annual Big Burger Blowout #BestBurgersRI with Carol Stuart after our every other Thursday trip to Boston….Carol orderd a “build your own” with mushrooms, bacon, and cheddar cheese w/sweet potato fries….I opted for the Seasonal Special Big Fig Burger, black Angus beef patty, pesto, Gorgonzola, fig jam, red onion, peppered bacon, all on a brioche bun…w/curly fries…
