Blount Clam Shack & Market Reviews
I bought Clam Shack lobster bisque at a price chopper in NY. It was terrible. I am as low brow as they come when it comes to regional brands purchased locally. I understand that it isn't always as good as it is where it is produced, but I paid top dollar for a sub prime product.
Really good Lobster Bisque soap purchased from a local supermarket here in NE PA.
Backstory. I attended Endicott College back in the day and remembered sitting on rocks in Rockport with bunch of friends, enjoying the fresh, local seafood. 🍤
I recently noticed this brand while shopping and although pricey, I decided to try it for lunch today.

Blount Clam Shack & Market is a seafood establishment with a history of over 125 years. It is known for its exceptional clam chowder, described as robust and creamy with a generous amount of clams and flavorful potatoes. Customers can enjoy delectable clam cakes, which are hot, fresh, and fluffy, although some have noted they would like to see more pieces of clams in them. The market offers a wide variety of seafood and non-seafood options, including a sizable and satisfying lobster roll. Visitors can also enjoy fresh onion rings and explore the selection of baked goods. The chowder is very good, and the lobster nachos were amazing. The Clam Shack did not disappoint, with excellent chowder, fried clams, and a lobster roll. The people are friendly and helpful, providing wonderful service, especially for those with food allergies. This was a gem of a find, and customers will not be disappointed. The market has a decent selection of fish and prepared foods, and the lobster street corn nachos are very good. The food is great, and the atmosphere is fantastic, though there is limited seating with only 5 or 6 tables and some challenges for those with limited mobility. Free parking is available across the street, making it easier to visit. Overall, everyone had a pleasant experience and is already talking about coming back.
