I think Blount makes the best New England style chowda. Tried 2 chourico based stuffies. Not so good, especially for the $6/per price! I'm Portuguese. I grew up eating Ma's homemade stuffies. Lots of crushed red pepper, and paprika. None of that here. Found the prices to be a bit high. Seafood markets in nearby Bristol are less expensive. But the chowda! The best.
Stopped in for lunch and ended up getting sides for dinner at the lovely deli. Visiting from Louisiana where we really treasure our seafood. Clam Shack did not disappoint! Chowder was excellent as were the fried clams and lobster roll. The people are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Great place to pick up frozen chowder. Market has a decent selection of fish and prepared foods. Had a lobster roll to go. Always consistently the same. Just a little pricey on most things. Fyi, the lobster street corn nachos are very good.
