The woman who works the drive through on Sundays mornings has the WROST ATTITUDE!! Horrible customer service! Doesn’t pay attention when she hands you your items and is extremely rushed! She almost dropped my iced coffee on my car!!! And held my bag of food like she was disgusted! It’s unfortunate that management probably won’t correct this. I have to agree with the other comments. This place isn’t the same !

Place used to be really good, now it has gone completely downhill. The drive thru line is always so far behind, then when you finally get to order, they'll poorly make the food, or not even give you what you want.
Today I ordered a coffee and a bagel with just egg on it. What I got was a coffee that was spilling off the top and a bagel with cheese on it instead. On top of it they auto charge you 15% for the tip as well, incompetent staff, bad food. Won't be returning ever again.

The bagel breakfast sandwich was great. The bagel had a nice chew and had plenty of everything bagel seasoning.
Great service

Cafe Tempo is hands down the best staff and coffee in Rhode Island. It never disappoints. I hope they never get too corporate or big and lose their neighborhood charm. The staff wears these visor hats now reminiscent of McDonald’s. I know I’m nit picking but could be the sign of a more corporate mindset

I requested politely if the sandwich that I ordered could have extra hot ham because the last time that I ordered it didnt had much and afterwards when I left the place I felt like checking and to my surprise they didn’t put no extra hot ham. I am shocked that they couldn’t do the single request that I had. It is crazy as well that when one is going to pay they hand you the payment pad so you could add a tip but when I looked there was no option for a “No Tip”. So it’s basically forcing the customer to tip the employee even though they don’t be doing what the customer requested. Last time Im ordering from this place.

7/29/25—So, I had my chiropractor appointment today, but uff, this heat was like walking straight into history’s hottest summer. I’m not an iced coffee drinker—normally I like my coffee like my adventures, hot and bold—but today I caved. I needed something cold, something that felt like a tiny victory over the sun.
Earlier, I had a small home-cooked meal. Nothing too fancy, but home-cooked food is like gold when you travel a lot. I have three more weeks before I hit the road again, so I’m enjoying these meals like they’re rare treasures.
I walked to this coffee shop, and it was buzzing—people chatting, laughing, the clink of cups, and the espresso machine puffing like a steam engine from the Industrial Revolution. I stood at the wrong register, missing the giant red sign that said ‘Order Here!’ Luckily, a kind gentleman let me go first. Chivalry lives on, my friends.
I ordered a small iced coffee with almond milk. The first sip was pure joy. If Benjamin Franklin said, ‘Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy,’ he clearly hadn’t tried iced coffee on a scorching day.
And guess what? They got my name right! Big ten stars for this coffee shop. At Starbucks, even though I use a famous name, I’ve been called Maryan, Maryland, Maria—basically everything except my actual name. This shop deserves a crown just for spelling it correctly.
The shop had a big menu overhead with so many options—cookies, small bites, the kind of things travelers eat when they’re too busy making history to cook. Still, I stay true to my cooking. But I liked this place, especially today when the heat turned every customer into a pilgrim searching for cold salvation

Definitely not worth the 20 minute wait or $11. It’s not a sweet coffee but bitter like Starbucks. Parking lot is like a maze… so pay attention while you’re there. Barista was nice and friendly, and they do have lots of options.
I am writing this as I am waiting for my iced coffee. Please note, I have been waiting long enough to get irritated, start my stopwatch and write a review. I see four or five people working here as I am writing this and I have no idea what they’re doing one person‘s cleaning But I still don’t have my coffee.
Update, got it now it took about eight minutes to get an iced coffee. That seems like a long time to me.

I love this place. Great friendly staff. Good options for hot and iced drinks.
But today the girl at the register added a tip without my consent and I couldn't remove it.. not cool☹️
We are traveling and it was nice to get away from the hotel. Judging by how many people were there the food must be fabulous!! I had yogurt and my husband had a cinnamon bagel so it's hard for us to judge the food.
Great bagels and coffee!
Coffee was good, the food however… ordered the pumped up and got a slab of artificial egg whites that felt weird and plasticy
I tried giving my dog the leftovers and he spit it out it was so bad. $23+tip for the most disgusting breakfast I’ve ever had.
Absolutely wonderful! Visiting from out of state my boyfriend and I decided to visit Cafe Tempo on a whim and my am I so glad we did!
The parking lot was packed which required in patiently waiting for a spot to free up but we didn’t mind. People were pretty quick or used the drive thru.
The coffee and bagel sandwiches were so fresh tasting and absolutely delicious! 🤤
