Grrrrreat place. Stumbled across this place for a bev and a bite. What a treasure. I've had Clam Chowder every day during my trip to R.I., and hands down this is the BEST. More clam than potato.... Yay!
The atmosphere is perfect for a water side retreat. Great view, great staff, great food

Perfect views, great live music, and friendly staff. Only down side...one server, other than owner, handling outside diners, so service was slow.

1st time there great vibes beautiful night lights on the water Wings were awesome ? smoked But the biggest surprise was those damn green beans So freaking fresh & delicious kinda like Jake ? just kidding he was great little issue with the brisket sliders The owner personally delivered a new mouth watering batch ??? & to top off the night met some merry Irish ladies ??✌️?? A good time all around Thank You for a great Date with the bride indeed

If you are black you need to call ahead to get seating. It is a special social club for white people. Plenty of people there sitting and dining but refused service.

couldn’t be seated even though me and my family were only staying for an hour max (there was at least ten seats open and four of us ) a party an hour from when we got there would somehow stop them from serving us? lazy spoiled bums??‍♂️

Stopped by around 2 PM on a beautiful afternoon, expecting a decent lunch. The place was nearly empty. After a brief wait at the host stand, a woman finally appeared and told me we could sit wherever we liked.

The service, despite the server being friendly, was disappointing. She was slow, inattentive, and got several things wrong. We had items either messed up or forgotten, and despite there being hardly any other customers, we were left waiting far too long. To her credit, she mentioned she was kitchen staff not a server, but that didn’t really make up for the experience.

The food didn’t improve things. I chose this place because they advertised smashburgers on the menu, but what I got was not a smashburger at all. It was for sure overpriced, and not much better than something you’d get at a casual cookout.

The calamari had potential—it was crispy, fresh, and tasted great—but it came buried under a giant pile of tomatoes and olives. It was frustrating to dig through all that just to get to the calamari itself.

To make matters worse, the whole time we were dealing with yellow jacket bees. They were constantly landing on our food, pestering our toddler, and even stinging some other guests. It really took away from the meal cause a bit of stress.

Overall, it’s disappointing to see such a beautiful location go to waste. Between the poor service, mediocre food, and the bee problem, it’s hard to justify coming back.

Captain Resto's hosted my husband's 50th birthday and what a great venue it was! Eva and her staff were excellent, serving 50 guests. Food, cocktails and service were outstanding. I would highly reccomend this venue.
