This is a little corner of Mexico in the USA, when you enter you realize the warmth of the place and the staff, the food is very delicious, and the prices are reasonable, the staff is always very attentive to what you may need, the atmosphere is warm and not at all noisy, at least on the Sunday I went, but they also have live music that makes this place a fun place with a good atmosphere

I stumbled upon this place randomly. I’m so happy to have found this hidden gem. They have the perfect menu for those who enjoy Tex Mex as well as seafood. The owners Carola and Byron are very welcoming. All of the staff are extremely friendly. They had a Mariachi Band on the night I attended. They have a back patio and they offer accommodations for both indoor and outdoor parties and events. My favorite dishes were the mummy shrimp, ceviche, raw oysters and the shrimp tacos. The bartender is very up beat. Although I did not consume any alcoholic beverages that night, I must say that the presentation of the cocktails were very colorful, and inviting. I highly recommend this location. When you go there, make sure to let them know that Keisha sent you. They will take great care of you! Enjoy ?

I went out for a friend’s birthday dinner here. Party of 6, the appetizers were very satisfying. The flavors, so delicious. Service = extremely attentive and accommodating. The dj played our requests almost immediately. The presentations definitely unique. Not to mention the neighboring gem in the rear of the building. I will definitely go back.

With had a good time unfortunately the service wasn’t the greatest at all. The waitress was everywhere and we had to continuously remind her about was she was asked for to bring tonour table. Extremely expensive for the service. Never again will we go there.

The food was terrific and super good and the atmosphere was very nice and kid friendly so it's good for family's. The service was good. I would love to come here again. The beef fajita burrito was delicious and I would definitely order that again. It was clean and looked very nice and was very well decorated. The sea food was splendid and very good!

Being from SoCal, I was exposed to Mexican food early and often. My favorite Mexican fare involves seafood--not many are aware that Mexican cuisine features some really savory ways to cook fish, shrimp, squid, and other fruit of the sea. You can just imagine how delightfully surprised I was when I spotted this restaurant--"El Marinero" (The Sailor), taking over what used to be a Greek diner.I went for what sounded to be really scrumptious--Fish Zarandeado and Shrimp Zarandeado--and judging from the photos I am sharing here, you can see I was not disappointed. The menu is certainly pricey but the quality of the food justifies this. Our server kept pressuring us to get an alcoholic drink in the friendliest of ways so I gave in and ordered the Margarita Mangonada. I was impressed. The drink was expensive but unlike other places where they just serve the $15 margarita in a larger glass and that's that, El Marinero bothered to create a work of art. It's so cute! There's a yellow duckie in a pool of margarita with the tequila nip bottle turned upside down, slowly blending into the mix, and a chamoy that added a salty-sour kick, in a carefully salt-rimmed glass. That drink made me happy.Well, here's the twist. Before ordering alcohol, my husband and I simply asked for water for the each of us, while perusing the menu. The server came back with two bottles of water. So when the receipt came, we saw a charge of $5. When questioned, the server said that they were having issues with their tap water so she just gave us the bottled water. $5 is not going to break the bank but this was not disclosed to us from the get-go. We could have skipped it. Finally, we were paying and about to tip when we see an 18% gratuity on the bill. There were only two people in our party. Nowhere was this written on their menu. Server says that this is the way their owner has had it since the beginning. That didn't sit well with me. I typically tip 20% and sometimes even more when the service is really great. It's fine to charge gratuity but since this is not common practice for a party of 2, it should be disclosed in a very visible way, to customers. For instance, even as a footer on their menu.Sadly, my experience could have been better. But hey, not everyone will experience what I did and perhaps, after what happened, the management may have even changed their system (hopefully), so customers can have the opportunity to savor the good food and the great margarita.

Complementary chips and salsa were pretty good and Appetizers were delicious. I ordered a margarita and it was honestly chiefs kiss. However my steak had nothing but fat and tbh it was not edible. If I were to go back it would just be for the apps and vibes. I went for a birthday celebration and they were easily able to accommodate 9 ppl. They had a live mariachi band going around each table taking request which I thought was nice.

This place is so disgusting I cannot even explain how dirty the kitchen is and the staff are incompetent and mind you they charge you 18 percent gratuity even if you’re just coming by yourself. That just tells you that they have horrible service. Never again save your money and go to cantina del Río instead!!

Spacious seating. Servers are so nice and always smiling. Love the live entertainment Friday nights. Food was great and better than expected.

I absolutely LOVED my experience at this restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly, food was delicious (I ordered the shrimp tacos), and they had a live mariachi band that walked from table to table taking requests for songs that they would then serenade you with. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to others. I left with the biggest smile on my face.
