I have been on an Asian food kick lately so I stopped into the Islander. Very interesting vintage fun vibe. I ordered a variety of Asian dishes which came super quick. I was disappointed but not surprised that brown rice was not available. The food was pretty good but nothing special. Portions were generous. Service was excellent. Prices are competitive. If you go, there is adequate off street parking.

Quick stop at The Islander with a large group and it was perfect. The bartender was awesome — friendly, fast, and took great care of all of us. Food was great and came out quick. Super welcoming spot with solid drinks and grub. Would definitely recommend and will be back next time I’m in the area!

We ordered delivery online. We ordered at 3:30 for delivery at 6pm. Plenty of time to get it right. At 6:10 I called because food had not arrived. It took them five min to find my order in their system. Then they told me oh the guy is on his way. The restaurant is just around the block. Ten minutes later the order finally arrives. We open it up and everything is stone cold. The order obviously had been left on the take out shelf and forgotten. Battered chicken does not reheat well in the microwave especially when they sent it all ready covered in the sweat and sour sauce. Huge disappointment.

Food and service were good. However, this restaurant was grossly deficient in the area of atmosphere. A group of younger people were seated near us and immediately the dining room became loud with foul language from this group. The staff did nothing to quiet them down or curtail their language. My wife pointed out the two girls/ hostesses were , at one point, sitting with these obnoxious people being just as loud. The Islander management should train staff regarding acceptable customer behavior or is this what you get when children are in charge at night ?

HORRIBLE so disappointed with the islander, Wednesday seems to be the night to order good food from this place.. I got mushy chicken pad Tai, horrible burnt crab ragoons and when I called to complain I was dismissed.. poor service 😢

The Islander at one time used to be considered best Chinese Restaurant in Warwick, but some say that Han Palace is better. I don’t believe that, the atmosphere at The Islander is fantastic. The restaurant is always packed on Friday & Saturday evenings.

It really depends on the night like if you hit this place on a Friday night or a Saturday night it might be so busy that an order that you normally get like for me it's beef lo mein with no veggies they'll say sorry so busy that you can't do a special order like that which is kind of a bummer but I get it other than that I usually get takeout from this place cuz I live down the street and their food is excellent absolutely excellent food but they're getting a little pricey

I have been a happy customer of The Islander since it was a little hallway of a restaurant! Had to be back in the '60s. I've never had bad or average food from this legendary restaurant! I got takeout today, made me read a few reviews! Somebody saying that the rice has no flavor? This is the best fried rice there is. I also had a combination plate that had beef lo mein. And their delicious pork fried rice along with an egg roll! The steamed dumplings are to die for! I am so glad they haven't changed! Cheers to the staff!

Horrible my mother brought me here as a kid I loved the chicken wings and fries and chicken fingers I haven’t had them in almost 15 years was in area so I got them for me and my son got 2 chicken fingers combos and fried chicken wings the chicken wings don’t taste like they use to they were gross and the chicken fingers also no flavor I woke up the next morning I was throwing up sick come to find out my wife has a friend that use to work here and she advised me to never eat here from her working experience she said they are very dirty they don’t clean stuff they take stuff out the trash and give it to customers it makes sense why I was throwing up in the morning all I could taste was the nasty chicken wings that I ate 10 hours before I couldn’t even digest them never again
