I used to love their shepherd's pie but they've changed the recipe now the vegetables are not cooked and it's only half the size. Also for an Irish pub they only carry two Irish whiskeys? The service was a bit slow but it was a night with live music and that could have been the reason. I heard that it has changed hands recently and they might still be getting into their groove.

Popped in for a late dinner as we were visiting some friends. Had a lobster roll and the chicken pot pie. Food was excellent, beer was cold, will definitely return the next time we are in Rhode Island.

My husband and myself usually enjoy coming here for dinner because we know we're getting quality with price. But our recent visit last night was price over quality. We ordered calamari for an appetizer because hey last night appetizers were half off, who wouldn't order calamari at half off?! Unfortunately we received less then half portion of calamari and what we did receive was greasy and overcooked in dirty cooking oil. We both ordered the Corned Beef Reuben with my husband asking for the kettle chips as a side and I asking for the Potato Salad. My potato salad was disappointing because it was almost just mashed potatoes with scallions. I feel more sad for my husband because his potato chips were literally Lays. Then when the bill came we were charged full price for the calamari appetizer ($15) instead of half off and had to seek out the waitress because like hell were we paying $15 for that crap. If we come back to this place its just to have a drink because it is in a wonderful area in the village but until the food comes back up to par I don't see myself suggesting it for dinner.

Calamari was rubbery and very small portion. Shepards pie had mozzarella cheese on it for some reason. Drinks were good. Ruben was good.

When they bring back the penne with chicken and vodka sauce and the short rib grille cheese and put the old topping on the fish tacos I will go back

Food is not as good as before new owners took over. I was very disappointed in the Irish nachos, which have been my favorite dish for over a decade. The staff was friendly and helpful. They did a great job taking care of us while we were there. Quick note that we did sit outside and saw mice running around so if you're not interested in dining with mice, I would recommend inside or another restaurant..

Have been going to O'Rourke's for years and the food has always been good. Latest visit was about a week ago and we felt that the food (steak sandwich with fries, fish tacos) was a bit more elevated. The staff has always been good as well. Wanted to mention that it is refreshing to see a smiling and genuine host as you enter and leave, it goes a long way. Excellent visit all around, great time.

Food and service were fine, but they need to bring back the old menu. Stuff like the penne and grilled cheese with braised beef made for a unique menu with enough variety to bring any crowd. I’ve frequented this restaurant for well over a decade, so I’m hoping the new ownership doesn’t ruin a really good thing. :-)
