I used to love their shepherd's pie but they've changed the recipe now the vegetables are not cooked and it's only half the size. Also for an Irish pub they only carry two Irish whiskeys? The service was a bit slow but it was a night with live music and that could have been the reason. I heard that it has changed hands recently and they might still be getting into their groove.
Popped in for a late dinner as we were visiting some friends. Had a lobster roll and the chicken pot pie. Food was excellent, beer was cold, will definitely return the next time we are in Rhode Island.
Have been going to O'Rourke's for years and the food has always been good. Latest visit was about a week ago and we felt that the food (steak sandwich with fries, fish tacos) was a bit more elevated. The staff has always been good as well. Wanted to mention that it is refreshing to see a smiling and genuine host as you enter and leave, it goes a long way.
