This place definitely isn't the spot to take a girl out for a romantic first date or anything -it's definitely what you would call a "greasy spoon" kind of restaurant. But for me, I kind of like that kind of vibe, so it didn't bother me.
Took the two kids here, sat at the counter, we all got dogs and fries. Friendly guys working behind the counter, fast service, the hot dogs were exactly how they should be getting these New York style dogs, and the prices were totally fine given the prices of things nowadays. Fed each kid for like $8 apiece, and then my food on top.
Definitely recommend if you're into this kind of place. I know a lot of people aren't, and that's fine. But as far as hot dog joints go, this one does a good job at being what it is.
Kid-friendliness: You can feed your kid a hot dog, fries and a soda for under 10 bucks - that's a steal nowadays.
