Sunshine Express was honestly the best Chinese food in the area. Their Poke Bowls, Pad Thai, Chef Special Shrimp, and the Boba teas were so delicious! Our favorites. We didn't realize that ownership had changed until we realized the food was not the same. The quality, the taste, and the price. It still says Sunshine Express on the outside of the establishment which makes me both sad and angry. Lol. Food Zoo had big shoes to fill and they're coming up short in every category for me.

Do NOT go here. They changed their name from sunshine express to Foodzoo. Had I known it was the old sunshine, I wouldn’t have ordered. Terrible lo mein, wings and crab Rangoon.

Yo I don’t know what these 1star people are talking about ! This food was better than sunshine! That new sauce they give out fire ? the beef teriyaki omg taste wayyyy better. The beef and broccoli soo good ! I was mad before they changed owners but yea they won my business. After sunshine closed I was looking for good beef & broccoli for weeks since they closed but thank goodness I gave them a try.

This was the absolute best when it was sunshine express but the new owners and business food zoo was literally the worst food I’ve tasted in my life. Horrible. 55 dollars in the garbage. I don’t know if I have ever thrown food out like that. Normally if it’s not the best you can eat and chalk it up to not returning but this was literally inedible. Couldn’t even eat it. I had pad Thai, it had a very dark red sauce? And noodles were red tinted. Don’t know what it was but definitely wasn’t pad thai. Egg rolls were so overcooked and bad tasting I was afraid to get sick. Bought food for my granddaughter and didn’t even let her have one bite. Gave a bite to family member and they literally spit it in garbage. Do yourself a favor and don’t even waste your time or money. I literally feel like they ripped me off because I didn’t eat any of it. Don’t go. I certainly miss sunshine express that was the best.

I’ve ordered Americanized fried Chinese food here no problem in the past. Tonight I ordered a couple sushi rolls and some fried dumplings and some soup. I ate about 4 pieces from my spicy tuna and sweet potato rolls then got sick. Just did not sit well with me. Couldn’t eat the rest. It was almost impressively bland too. I’ve had supermarket sushi that was Michelin star worthy in comparison. Dumplings were undercooked and smelled like way old fry oil- the dough was so chewy I had to spit it out. I hindsight maybe I just shouldn’t have tried to eat it. Soup was fine. $34 with a tip and it’s all in the trash. Kind of a shame. Sorry, just being real.

Hate to give such a bad rating, but tried a few times and very underwhelming. Overcooked near inedible chicken fingers, lo mein had a strange flavor, pork strips were fatty and overly sauced. Not a fan.

Generals tsos is disgusting overcooked. Rice is awful. Dry no flavor.. yuck!! I don't know what happened but I just wasted my money and really disappointed.. don't order from them!

Horrible. I gave it one star because I can't give it less. I spent $45 on a take out order and we threw most of it out. I never had bad Chinese til now. Boneless spare rib dinner floating in molasses? or some other black syrupy liquid which spilled out on everyone else's food. Pork fried rice that smelled like fish? Egg roll filled with grayish brown mush. This was mine, not the other three people's personal nightmare when they opened their dinner. I tried to eat it, but just couldn't, and believe you me I love my Chinese food, but this just ain't it...

Not sure if it’s the same owners. I know they are listed under Foodzoo. The Nime Chow which I use to love was flavorless due to having iceberg lettuce vs mint in it. The black dragon sushi which I have gotten many times was made with too much Mayo/ sriracha mixture. The dumplings were standard.

We'll start with being aware that this place is transitioning from the Sunshine Express to a new brand under new ownership. We decided to be open-minded and order our usuals from the menu they are still using from Sunshine at the moment. The service was cordial, friendly and prompt. I came early for pick up but was okay with waiting 5 minutes to check out what was going on. The food we received was pretty close to what we remember from previous orders, although the Singapore noodles were a tad spicier. That's fine. Everything else was good. I'll admit I noticed the transition seems chaotic, but things like this usually are. Its difficult enough transitioning a function business with existing customers, but with the possibility of being new to business ownership, too? That's rough. Especially when you add in the sh*tty Rhode Islander attitude whenever sudden change happens. The low star reviews smell of prejudice to me as I see no foundation for any of them.Give them a chance to settle and transition without the comparisons. They deserve a fair shot.

Used to be my favorite place to order from in Warwick, but I recently read a review that they changed owners july 2022 and that explains the difference in my experience, it’s never been the same. Bummed.

I stopped by the old sunshine to see what was up. Sounds like the kitchen staff bought the restaurant from the owners of sunshine since no other buyers came forward. Is this accurate idk but that's what I was told. I ordered orange chicken, and house lo mein no veggies. It was all good but felt like it was missing little flavor but isn't far off from the original deal. They are very under staffed. The place was dead compared to when it was under the old ownership. There no more delivery through the restaurant you will have to use big delivery company like grub hub and or door dash etc. The owner and or two workers I dealt with where kind and polite. If given a chance with a open mind you might find something you like. It's definitely not identical to sunshine but that's why they are in works of changing there name and menu because they know there different. They need staff and chance to keep the doors open to expand like the old owners success.

First time there since Sunshine (also 4*) owned it, and I went in expecting to hate it. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is 100% made differently, but it's the same menu. These differences are not better or worse than Sunshine, just different. If anything, the changes in style seem to be more like authentic Asian cuisine rather than Americanized "Chinese food".The lunch combo I got gave me enough confidence to try their sushi next time at least.I'd give it a shot, but keep an open mind that it wont be exactly the same.

I'm rooting for local businesses but there's work to be done here. I went thru the menu and ordered over 10+ dishes that I used to get in order to make a proper assessment with the new ownership.Good news is that the menu is almost identical so if you're worried about selection - they have it. The bad news however is that the taste and presentation has changed. Half of the dishes I ordered tasted as good as Sunshine yet the other half was bland and appeared amateurish - as if they were either skimping out on ingredients and/or did not know how to cook the dish.Lo Mein was dry, overcooked. Fried rice tasted okay but had almost nothing in it and was an odd color. All the fried foods were still good (hard to mess those up). General Tso was still as good as well as the chow fun. Sushi was so-so, very small for what they're charging. Ordered a boba and it was the worst I've EVER had. I took a sip and had to throw it away.Overall, 50/50. We gave them a shot but will likely give them a pass next time. Staff appears nice. Lobby was a mess, ingredients being kept in the front beverage coolers. They just don't seem to be ready or capable of handling a menu of this size. At these prices, if only half the food is as good as before from one ownership to the other - that's simply unacceptable. Maybe downsize the menu and focus on quality.
