The service was outstanding. The food was very good. We had the mussels followed by warm lobster rolls with butter. Very good cocktails. The others in our party had desserts which they loved. The sound level was fairly high, but we could still have a nice conversation without screaming.
I usually come here for the Lobster roll which is always on point . This time I had the (Special) salmon . It was moist , flaky, and the innards were spiced nice. Although the crusted spiced top was a bit much too many. I ended up taking it off and enjoyed the rest … the Tempura crusted and spiced brussels sprouts were al dente and flavored well. Although a bit oily. I love the lighting above the bar, but it should be dimmed just a touch . I prefer to sit in the wooden boots...
I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad meal here. Getting a table without a reservation on a weekend can be a challenge so we will sit at the bar if we can sneak in on a whim. The service is always sincere and prompt. My only gripe is the portions can be on the smaller side for the prices.
