Best burrito spot in RI!!! Get the steak, there’s no weird pieces of fat in it unlike other Mexican spots. If I could rate it a 6, I absolutely would.

It was a good mexican restaurant. Basic mexican food. Kids' quesadilla could use more cheese and the enchiladas could use more sauce, but the flavor was good on everything we ordered as a family of five.

Kid-friendliness: To get kids meal tacos (which isnt on the menu) just order the kids burrito and make it like one giant taco since you pick all the ingredients.

While visiting my family in Warwick, I went to Caliente based on word of mouth. I get there and being the only black person in the room, not only did the patrons stare me up and down, but the servers did as well. While ordering they snickered in Spanish at me (talking trash) sounds the same no matter the language. I still confidently ordered after asking me if I was sure of the toppings on my burrito. I wanted to tell you to RELAX. There are PLENTY of Mexican restaurants to eat at who do not have rude racist staff. I only continued to order because I was hungry and had my mind set to order from there.

My goto Mexican Restaurant! Setup like a subway, walkin and build your own taco/burrito/bowl from the fresh food on display in front of you, cash out and your choice to sit and enjoy or take to go.
Queso cheese dip is a 4.2 out of a 5 (queso connoisseur)
Staff is always friendly and smiling, place can get busy but they push out food fast, Always worth it!!

I wanted to share our experience with Caliente's for catering. We always go to Caliente's for lunch or dinner and we are addicted to their food. Everything is so delicious and the service is always excellent. My daughter and her (now) husband wanted a small wedding at our home for their closest family. Her husbands family is originally from Mexico and my son in law wanted us to go to Caliente's for the catering. I think this alone is a compliment that the food is that authentic! I was helped by Alex when I went in to order the food. He helped me choose exactly what I needed. I delegated to my sister in law to pick up the food the day of for me. Everything was in huge trays, sealed tight and labeled. The portions were huge! We ordered the 25-30 people "taco bar". We had 25 people and we had tons of leftovers. All of my son in laws family loved the food (they are from Massachusetts and had never had Caliente's before.)
Next time I need catering I will definitely go there again, we definitely got our moneys worth and then some!
