We had placed an online order and experienced a little longer wait than the online system predicted.
While that is less than ideal when you have 3 hungry kids waiting for dinner, the way Cowesett Pizza handled it was world-class. Shout out to the owner, Chris, who reached out personally to explain the situation. It’s rare to see that level of accountability these days.
If you want great pizza from people who take care of their neighbors, this is the place! The food is always fantastic, but the service is why we’ll keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Great local pizza place. Pizza is something that everyone has a different opinion about. They have an awesome special if you order a large pizza or a half sheet of pizza they will give you a small cheese pizza. The people working are friendly even when they are really busy. Maybe not an every Friday place but definitely a place you would visit every couple of months. There are many pizza options in this area and to me personally this is one of the better ones.

Big thanks to my friends over at the Rhode Island Pizza Fans group for putting me on to Cowesett Pizza — what a gem! 🙌🏾🍕 The bar pie was absolutely incredible: those beautifully crisped edges, generous pepperonis, and just the right drizzle of honey hot that made me stop mid-bite and say, “Mmmm…there’s something else on that slice!”
This wasn’t just pizza — it was artfully crafted, and you could taste the love and precision in every bite. While I waited for the pie, the vibe in the spot was warm and welcoming — a place where you don’t mind waiting because the energy is right.

Cowesett Pizza is one of those neighborhood gems you only know about if you live around the corner or stumble upon it by pure luck. But I'll let you in on it. 😁 That's what I do. It's no-frills and familiar inside. A few bar stools, a couple of tables, local sports plaques on the wall. There’s a sign over the kitchen that says Great Food Served Here, and like the staff T-shirts that read Cooked with Love, they’re not lying. Most of the business here is takeout. People call ahead, swing in, and grab their food. But if you stick around, there’s space to sit, and no one’s rushing you out. The staff are friendly and efficient. They know the regulars. They’re happy to help everyone though, without making you feel like you're not familiar. Just nice people doing their jobs really well. I ordered the half tray square pizza because I will always choose square over round. Square always tastes better. It’s not an opinion. It’s just some form of food science or alchemy. Like how sandwiches taste better cut into triangles. Some truths don’t need to be explained. I went with pepperoni. What came out looked simple, but nailed every detail. The crust was medium thick, super light, crispy, and airy. Baked perfectly. Perfectly golden bottom with a little crunch and a lot of character. The sauce was bright, with a great sweet and savory flavor, and a little bite. The cheese melted clean and was definitely good quality. The pepperoni cupped and crisped at the edges, exactly how you want it. Nothing fancy. Just really, really good. Cowesett Pizza isn’t built to handle big dine-in crowds, and it’s not trying to be anything it’s not. But this pizza could stand up to just about anyone in the state, in my.oponion. Best in class in this area, without question. If you’re nearby, you should already be going. And if you’re not—it’s worth the detour.

We had the pleasure of sitting at the bar at Cowesett Pizza last night. We loved it. Great staff, great locals and the pizza was the best. We highly recommend the Bar Pizza, we enjoyed ours with sausage and cherry peppers, the BEST! We also ordered a large Pepperoni to go, it was nothing less than amazing. Excited to see what else is amazing on their menu!

The bar pie the prez with extra pepperoni added is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Honestly i did not know I could enjoy a pizza so much. I recently moved to Warwick not far from this place and I think about it 3x a week. I have brought it up in conversation with random neighbors, I even told my mother about this pizza. I actually have to refrain from suggesting this for dinner with my wife as much as I do.. as I’m typing this out I think I’m confessing feelings for this pizza. Thank you Cowesett pizza
