I usually rave over Ella's but the food wasn't as good as it usually is. We brought another couple and it was their first time and I felt bad that it wasn't as good as I built it up to be. I often get the shrimp and grits and they were completely different this time. Thin and runny. Originally we were seated near the bathroom and had to move because it smelled so bad. :(
The food was excellent. Everything looked and tasted incredible. The service was ok at best. We walked in, there was no hostess or hostess stand to wait at, we were told by bar the bartender where to wait. We were promptly seated, and we're given water, menus and were told the specials. Our waiter came back with our drinks and took our order. Appetizers were out in about 10-15 minutes. We had the Crabby Scallops and the Mussels Leak. Both were hot and excellent. It waiter...
We really enjoyed the menu options – creative, well thought out, and executed perfectly. The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary special, which made the evening even more memorable. Highly recommend!
