I dine out often, both personally and professionally. I know and like good food, but can eat a meal for substance alone when need be and am able to set my expectations accordingly to be fair. We keep periodically giving this restaurant a try because of friends that either like a dish (usually a salad) and want to have it or more often have been given a gift card they need to use. For decades this has been a restaurant that locals know about. Avoid the tourist crush, and come here for good solid seafood and Italian specialties. The service is always friendly and attentive. The Guytanno's salad is fantastic, and the Stonington scallops are the best. Top it off with the lemon mascarpone cake, and you have a winner. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly consistent food and service across many years.
