Its a casual but classy restaurant. Exceptional customer service where the staff are friendly & welcoming. The food is so delicious & fresh. The atmosphere is inviting & open. Loged thatbthey had No Tv's. It a place where customers can enjoy conversations. This restaurant is the kind where you will want to come back again & again. I highly recommend this establishment!!

High Hope food is consistently excellent and so is the service. Menu is refreshing different and delicious. Friendly staff and patrons. Atmosphere is good but the acoustics are way off. It magnifies all sounds specially people talking at normal volumes making them sound loud.

I hardly ever write reviews, but High Hope Tavern deserves all the kudos! This is the place you are looking for. Comfortable atmosphere, delicious drink menu, and a food menu that is out of this world. The chefs passion for cooking fresh modern takes on classic dishes shines in every bite!

High hopes serves delicious meals. I have never been disappointed. Service is great. Only complaint my husband and I have is the acoustics. Sounds like people yelling and or laughing extremely loud.
So we have to talk loud to be heard.

Great spot for a nice night out in Westerly. We had a bunch of oysters (at happy hour prices, no less), with cocktails, followed by a full dinner - a party of 8 so we sampled almost everything. The seafood was fresh, the chicken Milanese was crispy and covered with some sort of delicious slaw, the caesar salad was especially yummy, the burger was enormous, and everybody left happy. It took a little while for the service to kick in - everybody was nice but it did take a noticeably long time to get our drinks or have our order taken... but when our drinks finally did come, they were all great, and the martinis came with a backup portion of extra martini, so all was forgiven. Beautiful restaurant too, but a bit cavernous and really loud when it is bustling. Will definitely return!

High Hope Tavern is a standout restaurant that delivers on all fronts. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a warm and welcoming decor. The menu offers a range of creative dishes, with bold flavors and spices. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with friendly staff happy to make recommendations. The food quality was consistently high, with some standout dishes that left a lasting impression. The only drawback was the limited menu options for vegetarians, but overall, High Hope Tavern is a great choice for those looking for a memorable dining experience.

We are visiting Westerly on vacation and tried High Hope Tavern for dinner. Our appetizers and entrees were delicious and the service fantastic. The noise level was a little loud but not enough to keep us away. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

First time here and loved everything we ordered! Our menu highlights: local oysters, Caesar salad, mussels, eggplant burrata (with Nana’s sourdough!) and the steak entree. The inside of the restaurant is really cute, with lots of cool artwork and antiques. Didn’t make a reservation, but got there at 6:00 pm and snagged a table on a Saturday night.
