Best sandwiches in milesYou can travel further but won’t find better.They have subs (“heroes”) of all sorts of combinations including the all veggie “RELAY” fresh and delicious with oil and vinegar. All sorts of wraps as well. And Philly Specials. Chips or Fries, Cheese fries, mozzarella sticks etc. You can eat as healthy or as hearty as you want. Incredible freshness. Extremely clean to eat in also. Love it!! Support your local “hero” right here in Westerly.

Went in yesterday for first time and had a tremendous sandwich. Most sandwiches come down to the bread and Hometown Hero's were soft and delicious and just the right size. Can not recommend this place more.

The Colao’s are such a sweet family and RI locals. This is the best sandwich you can get in Westerly, Charlestown, SK, etc - all of RI. The deli meat is so fresh and flavorful. My boyfriend requests the Lineman constantly and calls Hometown Heroes “that really good sandwich place” lol. Prices are not expensive especially compared to Sandy’s. If you want an authentic, fresh Italian grinder that’s well priced, while supporting a local family, this is your spot ?

This is a great place for subs/grinders. The sandwich combinations are great, with fun names. The WPD (Prosciuto, chicken and eggplant) and the Theresa (eggplant parm) are 2 of our favorites. Rolls are good quality, well stuffed, and large. We've picked up several and sliced them in several pieces so everyone gets to sample. A great place to order to go on the way to the beach.

First time, honestly never heard of this place and we just looked up good grinder places and this popped up. Came in, ordered The All American. The gentleman taking the order was very pleasant. The wrap was delish and hearty. We enjoyed our lunch. Place very clean. Redo place. Would recommend and eat here again. ?

ordered a bit of everything. Jalapeño popper was the bomb. best onions rings I've had in a long time. Husband loved the Ace. Give the dog pound a try. Definitely different.

Was in the other day and tried the steak supreme. I’m not a big fan of thick bread so when I saw I could have it over fries I was excited. Was delicious and filling. The staff was awesome and very relaxed. Can’t wait to try the tailgater on fries next time. If you haven’t tried this hidden gem, I suggest you make plans to very soon.
We went to hometown heroes and it was AMAZING. The staff was attentive and friendly, the establishment was very clean, and it had an overall great "hometown" atmosphere. We got the WPD, ER, and garlic parm fries - recommended by a customer who said she comes weekly ... WOW absolutely delicious and the best sandwiches we have ever had. 10/10 would recommend and definitely our new favorite spot, a hidden gem in Westerly!

I stopped for the first time today with my twi sons to check things out. The grinders were amazing. I had the WPD and was out of this world. My boys had the tailgate and a steak and cheese and could not stop saying how awesome the sandwiches were amazing. The steak and cheese fries were delicious. We will certainly be back and spread the word about hometown heroes

I work at a local business in Westerly and we get takeout for lunch quite often. We were all getting tired of the same things over and over. When Home Time Hero's opened we jumped on the chance to try something new. Well, we did, and now it is basically one of our FAVORITE GO TO PLACES for our lunch!!! The sandwiches are awesome!! We haven't tried them all, with so many different options, but we haven't been disappointed yet. :)

WOW: found this great sandwich shop and wanted a grinder for my wife and I. WheN I went inthe people were just so nice and the place was spotless.Great parking in front. Ordered a Steak and cheese and I must say that even my wife said. BEST STEAK SANDWICH we have ever had. Even the roll it came on was super fresh and sreally good. Tons of steak and a nice cheese was on the bun. Must say it is a place for your family to go or if you are going to the beach in the summer. A not to be missed location. In the plaza where MQQuades Ace hardware but in front part of the plaza.

Been twice now and everything has been delicious. We usually go to DAngelos for the steak and cheese there but definitely not anymore now that we have had a Hometown Heroes philly! The meat was great quality, not fatty at all. Highly recommend it.
