Old Man Joe's, you're speaking my language!
As a NY native, I'm picky about my bagels, and the egg and cheese on a bagel here was spot on - chewy, dense, and perfectly toasted, just like the real deal. Coffee and breakfast done right, Rhode Island-style. Can't wait to come back!

I really love Old Man Joe’s. it’s such a great spot to hang out, drink coffee, grab a bite, and enjoy the atmosphere. The only downside is that the Wi-Fi doesn’t work and there’s no cell service at all inside, which makes it impossible to get any work done that requires internet connectivity.

Once the connectivity issue is fixed, I will change my review to 5 stars for this little gem! Thanks!!

The food is good, lots of choices for bagels and bagel sandwiches. Many different coffee and tea drinks available as well. The staff is excellent. There are no plugs available to charge your devices and the Internet was down while we were there but that's probably an ISP issue. It a little loud inside. I recommend for a quick bite and a beverage

Best bagels and coffee I've had in this area by far! I enjoyed the delicious thick-cut bacon and egg, and my daughter loved their lox.
We came back for their Friday evening pizza and beer garden, which was delightful with superb pizza.

Love this spot! Love the interior and the bagels are SO very good. Their quiche, when they have it, is delicious as well!

My sister and I stopped by in the late morning, and I’m so glad we did. Besides the atmosphere feeling relaxed and comforting, the decor was tasteful and the food was delicious. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk that I couldn’t love enough—it was very balanced and the espresso was bright and fruity. The “Not Your Average Joe” bagel sandwich was delicious as well! If I were in Rhode Island more often, I’d visit every time!

Greetings Old Man Joe! Now these are good bagels. Soft and a lil doughy on the inside, with a satisfying crunch on the outside. I got a simple hummus spread and was so impressed by the sumac shake and olive oil drizzle. Still thinking about my bagel. Keep up the good work. The only other bagels as good as this are Chester’s Bagels in north Jersey. Tasty coffee. Everyone is happy in there. Looking forward to returning next year!

Visited this place a couple of times this year. The first time the espresso was good, the second time it wasn't great. Go figure. That's why only 4 stars.

THE BEST OF THE BEST !!!!!!
all of their food and drink and ingredients are made with love and skill and you can feel it.
i have a lot of food sensitivities and i always find options there and always feel good after eating there. their vegan dairy free ice cream is the best I’ve ever had, and they always have gluten free treats. I can’t say enough love for ol man joes and the people who own and run it. it is the jewel of Westerly.

I’m speechless. Someone told me that this place “has the best bagels in New England.” “Yeah, right” I thought. Turns out they were right. They’re unbelievably good.

My first experience was picking up a half dozen to go. Not cheap, but delicious. My only complaint is that the everything bagel had too much garlic and salt, making it nearly inedible without scraping a lot of it off. The ratio needs more sesame and poppy seeds.

My second experience was heavenly. I went in to sit down for a bagel and decided I wanted to try a bagel with cream cheese, and add some of their IN-HOUSE-MADE-LOX.

The person at the counter asked if I wanted to try the “Joe’s Gone Fishin’” item from the menu instead, since it had those things and a few more. Reluctant, having looked at the price(!), I decided to indulge. I passed over a 20 dollar bill and said keep the change, which I later realized did not equal a 10% tip (ouch). At any rate, it was probably the best bite of food I’ve had in Westerly so far. SO, SO GOOD. Wow.

Not only is the lox made in-house, but so are all the brined items (and bagels of course). The pickles themselves are to die for. Honestly, try this place and indulge. It’s worth it. It atmosphere is warm (European feeling) and the people are really nice too. I got a few extra pickles to take home when I complimented them.

Photos attached. Enjoy!

The coffee is great but be prepared for a long wait even if you order ahead. The staff has absolutely no sense of urgency. Parking is also a nightmare.

Despite the review bombing from some of the crotchety locals, this place is fantastic. Everything is made in house, the coffee is incredible, and the bagels have no business being as good as they are. Run don't walk. Hoping this place sticks around for a long time.
