I just stopped for a Monday morning coffee while I was out shopping in Westerly. Michelle was the barista at the drive thru and she was sooo kind and made me smile! She had a positive attitude and they made my coffee perfect. I got a brown sugar oat milk espresso with an extra shot. As a former Starbucks employee Michelle modeled all of their values! I left her a tip and she was very appreciative and thanked me several times. I will definitely be back! (After I went through the drive thru I pulled into the parking lot to leave this review. I didn’t want to forget to write one later because it was a great experience! Lol )

Such a relaxing place to complete work and sip coffee. The barista Lilly is always very helpful, she knows my order and always prepares it correctly. Thank you Lilly!

Waited 22 minutes at drive through. Left drive through without ordering got to window said they couldn't take orders at window and go back in line to reorder. Ridiculous. After trying to leave the drive through is set up where you can't get out so your stuck. Terrible service and design

For many years my wife and I have frequently visited Starbucks in Mystic, Ct. Now that Westerly, RI has opened I am there three to four times per week. Although the atmosphere inside is a standout, I do have some general observations that are concerning. One of the bathrooms is often out of order. In fact, one day while using the other facility there was no soap and the hand dryer wasn’t working. Further, there was no paper towel available. Now let’s go outside: the grass surrounding the building is so high it looks like a hayfield. The gutters in the parking lot are littered with debris and cigarette butts. My gosh does this location have a store manager!!! I guess I’ll just return to mystic..

I made a mobile order for pickup in the lobby specifically to avoid the drive through. I don't know exactly why the lobby is closed at 2:41 in the afternoon and I'm now stuck sitting in this long line I was trying to avoid. Madness.

Nice to finally have this in town and the workers are nice but sometimes they make my matcha wrong lately, which is just a powder, it’ll taste like straight up milk… also they need to fix that drive thru

Drove 20 minutes to get here today and ordered remotely through the app. Planned to do some needed work using Starbucks wi-fi. Arrived to find sign on the door that interior is closed because of staffing issues. I could see my latte and scone on the counter. Their solution was to use their drive through line. I have now been in that line for 20 minutes while my latte gets colder and colder. Through their drive-through speaker, the manager thinks their wi-fi might reach their patio. What a dreadful situation - badly badly managed. Their control system can turn off remote orders - which their manager should have done. But no — they are going to waste 30 minutes of my time and give me cold coffee.

if you dont want an obligatory disgruntled former employee review skip over:TLDR: management sucks, they broke the law, and honestly just nasty people, support local, dont spend $7 on mass produced coffeeManagement:First manager despite being really nice either felt like she had no idea what she was doing, reasonable in a new store, but what was unreasonable were the blatant labor law violations she committed, constantly changed hours without notice, sometimes hours before shifts, scheduling shifts until close with a 5:00 shift the next morning, but worse is what they can legally do to you. before the store opened I was informed i was scheduled for an all store meeting with “fun activities and a free cup” that was mandatory for every employee, when i get there the only person there is the manager 2 other people, one, a former shift supervisor(?) (everyone was unsure of his real job he just sat around and allegedly hit on minors) and 8+ pallets to set up the entire store, less than 16 hours to inspection, and the spit on top of the trash pie was i never got my promised free cup.The Environment:I started my starbucks experience like every new barista with a “first sip” which they basically tell you what coffee is like you’re an alien, i figured that was just introductory corporate mumbo jumbo but then it just. kept. going. the entirety of training seemingly both talked down to you, and fed you so much information all you can think of is the 5+ hours longer you have of the same computer training, then when i did get hands on experience i was looked down on and seen as inferior by the baristas in this training store, while they were giving me the brand new information, these weren’t just employees pulled aside either, these were people getting paid a bonus and people who have had to take a whole course in order to be able to train, our positivity is not real by the way, im sure yall all knew it but we dont even *want* to fake it to you, the toxic positivity starbucks forces into you should be criminal, to shortlist their demands ill give you this they want a crew of 3 to handle a drive thru with 38 cars in half an hour, endless streams of mobile orders and a full cafe while knowing all the regulars names, greeting them by name, asking each and every person how their day was and their name and having a cheery disposition while keeping the drive thru time under 60 seconds total from order point to driving away (keep in mind some of our sandwiches take longer than that to heat) everything had to be in order, exactly in order and no exceptions to the point they had pictures of exactly how your store should look for in my managers words efficiency and regularity between all stores, but if my experience was normal, i dont know how starbucks is still a company.pic attached is the aftermath of setting up the store

If you order a simple coffee, then service is normally fast. If you order food, then the service is consistently slow to the point where you can order a sandwich a half hour in advance and it still wouldn't be ready.
