We have been here a handful of times before, and typically it is very good. However, today was less than. My fiancés toast came out black, burnt. And my french toast….I have had french toast at many places, I’m well aware how it’s made. But it tasted like straight burnt egg. And somehow it was still very soggy and flat, not fluffy at all. We will probably not be going back unfortunately.

Food was delicious, flavorful, and prepared eggs just as asked. Service was cheerful and very quick food delivery. Comfortable atmosphere it's a place I feel locals would frequent.

Just in for the weekend and looking for a place to eat before driving him. The place is cute inside and staff friendly but the food is very lack luster. I’m not sure how they got bacon to taste like old fried chicken but that’s all it tasted like. California Benedict was okay. More onion than anything but tolerable and the home fries were good. No one ever checked back in with us to see if we needed anything. Definitely not the worst place I’ve been but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.
Absolutely love the food, fantastic!! You will not be disappointed. Perfectly cooked eggs, delicious bacon and french toast to die for!!

Lovely spot for breakfast, great food and a welcoming staff, what more could you ask for? We will definitely stop by next time we’re in the area.

I would rate this experience a 3, largely due to the quality of the food, which was quite good. However, I was disappointed by the behavior of the staff, which significantly impacted my overall experience. I visited this establishment with my 6-year-old child, and while I do not use profanity, I noticed that several staff members were using inappropriate language throughout our visit. Though our server was not the primary issue, my son repeatedly pointed out the offensive words being used, which was concerning.
While I understand that casual conversation might occur in a workplace, I believe it's important to be mindful of the environment, especially when young children are present. For this reason, I am unlikely to return unless there is a change in how staff conduct themselves. I would have preferred to enjoy my late breakfast without hearing inappropriate language, particularly given the close proximity of the staff to the seating area.
On a positive note, the food was flavorful. I enjoyed my omelet and cinnamon bun, although I do prefer my home fries to be crispier rather than soft. Despite this, the taste was still enjoyable. I sincerely hope the staff can improve their professionalism and be more considerate of the customers, especially when families with young children are dining.
Nice and cozy small breakfast and lunch restaurant. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. Also, all the food here is excellent.

This review is a couple of weeks late, but I have a moment now to share my experience.
I stopped in after receiving very sad news, hoping for a quiet break. There were a few other customers, and I sat at my table, trying to go unnoticed. However, I was noticed—in the kindest way. Each customer even offered small gestures of care, like asking if I was okay or sharing encouraging words.
The waitress could clearly see I was upset, but she remained professional and showed such genuine kindness. When I thought I paid and then left, I realized just how much her care, and the warmth of the entire place, had brightened a very dark moment for me.
Thank you to everyone there that day, especially the waitress who truly cared, even though it was my first visit. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Big, big fan. Delicious eggs benny, great coffee, incredible baked goods. I never leave without at least 1 muffin. Great breakfast gem in Westerly. P.S. Try the corned beef hash. 👍
Food was great, service great. Prices good.
The baked goods are a must see ;)

I really was looking forward to visiting this restaurant. The powdered reconstituted Hollandaise on my Lobster Benedict did it in for me. 2 hours later I still have cornstarchy film in my mouth. The homefries have no flavor. The coffee is sub par. The tomato juice was warm. Not once did we get asked how we were or if we wanted a refill of our coffee. I got asked what was wrong when it was noticed that I wasn’t eating. I put forth my complaint and was met with a snarky “sorry”. I was however asked if I wanted something else…but alas no. What happened to customer service? What happened to someone like the manager coming to the table and listening to the customers concerns. I tried to get past the recent bad reviews. But I can see that Sunnyside isn’t taking the reviews seriously or doesn’t care.
This is one of my favorite breakfast stops. I love the seasoned home fries. The service is always good and they have some great pastries. The extra large cup of coffee is a vig plus as well.
