The baked brie entrée was wonderful as was the crabcakes. The rigatoni with sun-dried tomato sauce was not a favorite. The hotel and its location never disappoints.
Our table by the window at the Bistro afforded us a perfect ocean view. The Ocean House hotel is gorgeous, The dining experience started out well, with warm focaccia and crispy gouda balls. From there on, the lunch went downhill. They forgot we had ordered an appetizer. The lobster for our warm lobster rolls, was gristly and I spat out every bite because it was like trying to chew rubber bands. At $48 for a lobster roll, we were VERY disappointed, having eaten delicious warm lobster rolls in Stonington, CT for $35. The cherry tart for dessert was excellent.
Although the views and the ambiance are very nice, the food is just not good. My wife had the halibut and it was so salty, she wasn't able to finish it. I had a NY Strip steak, and it was incredibly tough and under seasoned. Our sides were mediocre at best. The prices do not match the quality of the food.
I would say that our experience at the Ocean House bistro was lovely. I will say it is advertised as a jazz brunch, but the music was never heard in the dining room. The musicians are set up outside the dining room in the foyer of the hotel. We were seated in the back end of the dining room, which was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the ocean, but we did not hear one note of the music so I would say if you're interested in going to something with music, this is not it But yes, it was a lovely afternoon.
We had an excellent experience! The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It's rare to see such genuine care and professionalism these days—thank you for making my day easier and more enjoyable
Food and service good. Much more reasonably priced than Coast. Portions, however, were small. Would have rated service 5 stars but they forgot to bring out one of the things we ordered, though it was still on the bill.
The food was at best mid level Strip steaks were under cooked Service was spotty Ambience is nice but not enough to overcome the service and food - also overpriced
My wife and I experienced a wonderful time at our brunch at the Ocean House last year. We have told so many of our friends how great the “Tower” was. They were all excited to come to the brunch and experience the “Tower”.... Well, much to our dismay, we came to the brunch this past Sunday and found out that the tower was eliminated! Yes, the contents of the tower are still available on an “all you can eat” basis, but it is now buffet style and they provide such tiny plates that hold next to nothing and deter diners from repeated trips up to the “buffet” . Bottom line is that something very special for my wife and I last year became “eh”...this year. We will not return.
Restaurant itself is stunning but do not go here for the food. We came for breakfast on a Saturday and the service was absurdly slow. We sat down and waited over 20 minutes for our waitress to arrive. Additionally, we ordered fresh juices off the menu and were told after another long period of time that the juice machine was broken. Broken? At a 1-2k/night hotel? Grab yourselves a back up juicer... After another long wait, when my food arrived, it was not what I ordered (huevos rotos). They gave me a mix of two dishes. I did not send it back because it had taken so long to arrive in the first place. I'd never recommend this restaurant for the food, but the views and ambiance were wonderful.
Calm atmosphere and beautiful beach view. The food was okay - soup quite salty and sandwiches quite greasy. However, we really loved the cocktails and lattes we had with our meal. Would have also been nice if the occasion on our reservation was acknowledged by a staff member

Dining at The Bistro in Ocean House was truly a delight. Every part of the experience was immaculate. Of course, the environment is beautiful as the hotel in which the restaurant is located is one of the most stunning oceanfront hotels in the world. Dining as the sun was setting while overlooking the ocean made for a special experience I will remember fondly. The service was world-class and catered to each party’s needs with great understanding. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful experience. The food matched the service with its high quality. I thoroughly recommend the Parker House rolls (which come with a wide variety of butters and spreads), the rigatoni, and the Brussels sprouts. Each dish was crafted beautifully with generous portions. I felt the food was priced very reasonably, especially considering how special the experience was. Dining at Ocean House should be on everyone’s list when visiting the area for an impeccable experience.

Our food ,was exceptional. We both had the swordfish and the preparation was very flavorful without overpowering the taste of the swordfish. We highly recommend the Parmesan truffle fries and Baked Brie appetizer One of the true highlights of our dinner was the service provided by “Eve” our server. She was knowledgeable and very personable
Food and service were fantastic! Really enjoyed the lambchops, but they forgot the smashed potatoes.
First class dining experience. New England charm and elegance combined with delicious food and drink.
Enjoyed a cup of the clam chowder. Extremely thick and creamy - the way I like it. Ordered portobello mushroom Milanese. Breadcrumbs heavily coated and seasoned, a lot more coating than mushroom. Waiter offered to take it off check and get me something else. I ordered the cucumber salad which was refreshing. Husband had the sole and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful location. Excellent service. Would go back for sure.
